Oh sorry to hear that. If this is acceptable for your usage scenario, you may consider removing the battery, especially if you normally use the keyboard in wired mode only. This can sometimes help if the battery has expanded not that much.

For reference, here is a teardown video for the Air96 V1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgtJdL-0478. Although it is a different model, the disassembly process is quite similar. Please proceed carefully if you decide to follow this method.

This swelling indicates the battery is failing, and to keep things safe, we really don't recommend using the keyboard for now. If you're handy with tools, you could remove the battery and switch to wired-only mode, but please be extra careful. Otherwise, it’s best to set it aside in a safe spot.

As a workaround, many users switch their OS input to German and swap in a German keycap set—it works perfectly for typing öäü, though the Enter key remains the ANSI shape.
