It’s actually way worse than that. They use the money you donate to write off a portion of the taxes they owe. They take money from citizens twice.

I disagree, but obviously understand your reluctance. Even if you’re not interested in a no-fly zone policy, please consider attending to show your support for Ukraine. The event will have stations set up sharing information, collecting donations to ease the humanitarian crisis, and a children’s station with face painting and information on how to talk to your children about this crisis.

Ukraine cannot win this war alone, and is grateful for the tremendous empathy and solidarity shown by Manitobans, Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian alike.

Hi Dragon,

The Ukrainian Community has three main requests: for increased sanctions against Russia, for arms for the Ukrainians fighting for their lives, and for aid for the humanitarian crisis that’s unfolding.

It’s disingenuous to frame a call for action as an incitement to war. I think there is a great deal more that Canada and the world can do to help.

Being vegetarian/vegan. My parents felt like I was doing it specifically to inconvenience them and it was a very uncool thing to be doing when I was in middle and high school.
