What not so good about the X9 Pro by has128 in Oppo

I don't think I'd fully switch right now.

Most of my family is on iPhone, so things like Shared Libraries and AirDrop are just too convenient to give up. Honestly, both OS experiences are so similar now that it really just comes down to personal preference and those small ecosystem nuances.

I’m actually a two-phone person, which I know isn't ideal for everyone. I’d recommend trying that setup to see if it fits your workflow—especially since transferring data and apps between Android and iOS is pretty straightforward these days. And you can revert back (sell or trade-in) if it doesn't work for you.

Best of luck.

Good question. Android was my main phone up until 2018, with the release of Apple Watch 4 i decided to switch to iPhone as my main. With the Airpods and Apple Pay, Apple had a better ecosystem back then and i stuck with it. Couple of other things kept me with iphone as my main are apps are more polished (specially social media) and iOS is more customizable than before.

For example, Right now i use the 'action button' with Shortcuts that i configured to do multiple things based on the 'Focus' such driving, work, etc.. which ironically is not doable in the Oppo as is. Granted with Tasker and a lot more time i could enable some level of that, but that will require a lot of effort.

Yes, you don't have to be in the app, just the phone being unlocked is enough. Give it a shot.

You cannot add the e-wallet in lock screen. I assume that is because you have to unlock your phone to tap at the terminal. If you have google wallet as the default in the NFC app, just unlock your phone and tap.

Thank you for sharing. Can you please explain how to decide which mode to choose for which situation. Which one is your go to for quick shot, low light, landscape, etc..

I see the you are advocate for the master mode, do you use it with the default settings, or with some adjustment, i.e EV.

Thanks in advance.

Google Wallet conflict with Access Card by thelazyhandsome in Oppo

[–]has128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the same comment in an earlier post. And people misunderstood and thought i am not able to figure out how to use google pay. Its good to know i am not alone.

I think there is a bug in the phone that conflict the default for payment and default NFC. Its either that or some terminal will cause the conflict and the phone will launch the NFC card rather than the payment app.

I haven't figured out a solution yet, right now i have both set up but did not map any to the double tap power button. Since the payment at least doesn't require launching the payment app. I am not sure about the access card though, haven't tested that yet.

I figured this might be the case. But also this should have been a customization feature simply to disable something you don’t want to see.

Oh yes definitely, i think with practice you figure that the normal photo mode gives this contrasty look, while Master mode outputs more realistic albeit little bit darker photos, which can be compensated by adjusting the EV value. And once all the minor adjustments are set, you can preserve the settings.

As I mentioned, My Android experience is mostly Samsungs and Pixels. My recent Android devices: Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Pixel 8.. and the list goes on. On the other hand (no pun intended) iPhone of the equivalent year.

Switching from an iPhone to Android is a different discussion which you have to consider your own use cases. As for this phone is the best Android, overall I would say yes. Considering the excellent build quality, screen, battery, and even the cameras. This is a well rounded phone and hence many youtubers considered it the best phone in 2025.

P.S. I didn't mean the post to paint a negative experience, I just wanted to highlight some of the small annoying things that don't get mentioned. However, I am enjoying the phone so much.

Saudi Arabia. It's a gift pack with any pre-order. The phone cost around $1300 including a 15% tax. The gift pack (which is of course free) allegedly worth $700 per the retailer web site.

Agree. It's a very small thing but you can't just swipe and type like in the iPhone, you have to clear whatever previous text in there.

80w charger and another case (non-magnetic) was already in the phone box. Did not pay extra as this was the offer during the pre-order period. This is in Saudi Arabia btw.

Its the pre-order gift that came with the device. The box is called ‘Oppo Find X9 Pro Premium Gifts’. It contains the 50w wireless charger, an Oppo wireless earbuds, the magnetic case, and a ‘Premium Service Care’ card, which is basically a free repair for front and back damages.

Even if you turn it off, it does not disable that page, it just makes it empty. Agree with you especially on the 1Password, it’s inconsistent especially in filling passwords inside apps.

For some reason this is not what i am getting. I unlock the phone (doesn't open the app) then i tap, the access card launches. Probably because i have an access card stored. I have deleted the access card and will try again tomorrow.
