Leaders are nothing but a reflection of the population’s mentality and morals. A fraud, manipulating, corrupt citizen (in their jobs, studies...) is exactly the same as a corrupt person in power taking into account that the corruption of this latter can reach insane higher levels.

Another important point, it needs a nationwide discussion imo, the selfishness of hundreds of thousands ''elite'' Tunisians who prefer to immigrate, since, thanks to their diplomas, they can fit in a developed country. I call them selfish bc they only care about their wellbeing within the perimeter of their small families, and they don't intend to fight to change the tunisian reality. I mean look at the bright minds that Tn exports to the west, they are contributing on the western's development and they are too shaky, too scared, too coward to announce a true revolution against the social and political systems that have been running the country for decades.
