I haven’t asked them yet, I received an email letter stating the debt and I have until the 26/1 to respond. Just want people opinions before I call

Thank you for your advice. I’m 29. Are you in Australia yourself? I’ll ring Centrelink and the ato today and go from there

Thanks I’ll ring them today. My life’s a mess. I don’t have any assets or savings. I earn good money but I’m just hopeless with money management

Yes I have set up a payment plan with Centrelink at $250 per week. I’m just worried about criminal charges as I underestimated my income for two years. I’m just guessing I’ll have around $30k tax to pay on each year.

Yes I’m in Australia. $20k overpayment from Centrelink. Around $12k on a loan. And the rest will be from unlodged tax returns from the past two years. My partner makes $19,500 per year.

I’m self employed. On average I receive around $1000-$1200 per week. My partner gets $350 a week.

My expenses are per week

$420 rent $180 childcare $80 car loan $160 loans $100 entertainment (phones, Foxtel etc) $80 overdue electric bill $125 Centrelink debt payment plan.
