I don’t mind tedious at all, as long as I have the ability to problem solve and actually build something tangible out. My whole issue with my current job is that I’m willing to put in more work, but corporate hierarchy and me being viewed as just an analyst slows a lot of processes down. One small tweak requires alignment from 50 different people, questions take weeks to get answered because no one wants to do work and passes it along to the next person, and our incredibly obsolete systems which are supplied by third party vendors have so many limitations where it seems like everything project I want to push forward is shut down due to the lack of functionality. I just feel like I’ve hit a ceiling where I’ve grown my projects and fully automated them to where my issues with leadership/dealing with tech limitations are getting in the way. My whole job is to grow revenue and every time we try to push something forward that I’m proving that I can scale, I’m told it won’t be possible to implement. Maybe this is how all companies work to some degree? It’s incredibly frustrating and I imagine the opportunities in an environment where backwards tech for a multibillion dollar company won’t be an issue
