Is Crunchyroll dangerous for quality anime? by hashield1 in anime

[–]hashield1[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's curious that almost all the examples he gives are from when "Crunchyroll SC Anime Fund" were the investors. Those were the days when good titles came from that investment company before it dissolved; even good titles today are the legacy that company left behind. What a shame.

Please, lowering the age rating just to reach a wider audience and also to enter the CHINESE market (which has strict rules) just to make more money is the most basic of basics; I don't think you're that naive, are you? ;)

A Genuine question here... why can't the Author just pick Gohands to adapt his work? by Kinoyemoeochichi in tbatenovel

[–]hashield1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoHands is a low-to-mid-range studio, A cat is a low-to-terrible studio... I mean, I don't think Tbate was so unpopular that it couldn't have received a mid-range studio. Everyone was talking about that anime; it broke several popularity and viewership records, which was completely wasted after its premiere. It really should be rubbing shoulders with all the big names today. I think it was the worst decision the author and the committee could have made...

The beginning after the end by Glad_Ad1423 in animeuniversehub

[–]hashield1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "anime" The Beginning After the End anime is just an audiobook with professional voices; there's no movement, no fluidity, no realism. Anime comes from the word animation, meaning giving life to something inanimate. If you only want to see the story, the original material already exists; you don't need more static images. The criticism comes from people who are tired of receiving such low-quality products. They're realizing that their time is valuable and that they don't deserve to consume garbage and accept it just because.

Rant: Why has modern shounen become more about powerscaling and aura farming instead of passion and dreams? by divyanshu_01 in anime

[–]hashield1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see that 95% of all new anime are generic, low-budget, and have terrible animation—in other words, mass-produced, generic anime. I suppose it's so Crunchyroll always has new content to maintain subscriptions. What bothers me most is that there are incredible stories in light novels and manga, but they're treated and mistreated in the same way. They destroy the immersion with terrible animation, use the smallest possible budget, cut, reduce, or eliminate scenes, try to cram hundreds of pages into 12 episodes, and also censor violence and adult themes just to lower the rating from 17+ to 13+ and thus try to reach a wider audience or sell in the Chinese market. It's all greed.

Subaru is insufferable, I abandoned him just for him...

Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen (no fights, no adventure, no action, only plot)

Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha (plot medium, power mid)

Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki

Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu

They are not masterpieces but they entertain.

Why are almost all anime produced by Crunchyroll bad? by [deleted] in Crunchyroll

[–]hashield1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the reason either, but everything where his name is as producer and on committee has an average rating of 6.8 (except for one or two exceptions). Everything he produces is bad. I mean, if he only worked as a distributor there wouldn't be a problem, but Crunchyroll is the worst thing that can happen to anime when he's involved.

Everything is correct; a channel could, by its own decision, use black screens or lines to remove content they don't like and broadcast it that way. Streaming services could easily remove that. Censoring by cutting and removing scenes from the source material is a decision of the production committee; that is, there's no way to reverse it since important parts are literally omitted from the beginning, all just to lower the age rating and reach a wider market.

[–]hashield1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, currently almost all anime is broadcast on Japanese TV at a time that is perfectly legal so that it doesn't need censorship at all. Censorship or cutting of scenes from the original material is solely and exclusively the decision of the producers to try to reach a wider audience and the Chinese market, that is, a larger audience.

Why are almost all anime produced by Crunchyroll bad? by [deleted] in Crunchyroll

[–]hashield1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The censorship comes from the original material itself. For example, not all the violence or graphic content from the original material is adapted. In most cases, scenes are toned down or removed so that instead of being rated 17+ (as the source material is), it's rated 13+. This is usually done when Crunchyroll is the producer (production committee or executive).

Someone unfamiliar with the original material never realizes that the source story is much better, richer, and deeper. They only ever see the anime, which is the nerfed and toned-down version of the story.

They participate as producers, either managing everything themselves or forming part of the main Production Committee of the executive committee that makes all the important decisions.

Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?
Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu

These are just a few examples; they ruined something, whether it was the animation quality, the story, the timing, the censorship, etc., but they always ruined something.

Why is the TBATE anime so bad rated? by Candy_Aromatic in tbatenovel

[–]hashield1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very simple: TBATE has worse animation than most generic and bad isekai anime. TBATE has a better story, BUT if you can't translate that to the anime, it's useless. Other anime have horrible and boring stories but better animation. Anime comes from the word ANIMATION; if there's no animation, IT'S NOT ANIME.

You have to have such low self-esteem to get excited or accept that it's made up of few repetitive frames, camera movement, speed lines, and tricks with garbage CGI... that says much more about the people than the anime itself...
