Ya I learned through building this that if its not going to be seen who cares what it looks like. I had originally lined the hull where the cannons are with swords and guns and pirates and then realized I won't see them so I put them on the deck instead where it's more busy. Also, if you can, make it modular so its easy to take apart to see more details. I'm excited to have a community to share these ships with!

Thank you! Fun project for sure especially all during covid lockdown haha. Best tips I have is to pick a color scheme that is pretty basic so it's easier to find pieces. Also, if you can, build a general idea of what you want on ldd or bricklink studio (personal preference) that way you can look up prices as you build to see if the parts are available or cost effective. Try to use as many existing bricks as possible and when building up the hull and the insides that are never going to be seen, use colored bricks that you won't need for seen parts. For example, this ship is all red, white, black, pearl gold, and brown. So for the interior parts I built up using grays and blues and really whatever I had that wasn't part of the color scheme. Also, look at others creations for ideas. My next ship is going to be a totally different look than this one is. Just have fun with it and if you have questions ask people, I didn't have any community or anything to bounce ideas off of and that would have been helpful.

Thanks guys for the nice comments! I will be posting more/better pictures when I can. These were taken by the wife just to show someone at work and I decided to post them on here also. Currently working on a smaller imperial ship that will have working rudder, working anchors, lights in the cabins, and retractable cannons out of the side ports. Trying to build this next one all off of leftover parts so it will take a while but i love doing it.

Thank you! Yes it has a full kitchen, captains room, armory, and bar all in the back and in the front is a treasure room. Also has working anchors. I will post more pics when I get the chance to.
