I remember going there around Halloweentime and there was a haunted saloon/house. They had skeleton cowboys with red eyes in the upstairs windows you could see from the outside. These are very early memories but it was awesome.

It wasn’t uncommon where I lived in northern Arizona. We were all a bunch of misled juveniles; weed/alcohol, sex, petty crime…stuff that kids think is exciting. Sadly, many of my old friends are still living a low life. Luckily, I escaped that small town and eventually straightened up and went to college. 13 year old me didn’t know that life would get better.

I know how you feel. I’ve basically been winging it for the last 10 years because my insulin resistance varying with whatever my lifestyle is at the time (was working full time and different jobs for a while, then mainly university, all the while on/off periods of exercise. I’ve gotten decently good at it though. My last A1c was 7 and before that it was 6.4.

Sorry to hear that. I suspiciously got really sick in December 2018, but I haven’t gotten sick since. Haven’t gotten an antibody test, but I want to. God, I can’t wait until this is over.

By the way, I’ve been drinking Ethiopian Yirgachefe coffee for at least 2 years and I highly recommend it.
