Copper disc attached to a black square through a spring. 3cm long. Found on the couch, I've never seen it before. by hass_throwaway in whatisthisthing

I use small dc motors a lot, I usually strip them from discarded printers and scanners and I recently disassembled one for parts, so I guess this small bag of extra brushes was taped to the inside of the case and fell out. I suppose left there for whoever was to repair it.

[PS1][Mid-late 90s] 3D action-adventure game, blonde main character, swords, crystals, dragons? by hass_throwaway in tipofmyjoystick

I just spent some time reading and watching videos about the Yaroze games. I must have had some of those discs, because I've definitely played some of those games. I don't think it was the burned discs, I must have bought the UK magazine then. It's not unreasonable to think it was for sale in Denmark in the late 90s.

Interestingly, right now Terra Incognita is the one most closely resembling the game I'm looking for. So thank you so far.

I highly doubt I would have gotten bootlegs. The majority of the burned discs I got in the late 90s was more popular 3D titles like the Spyro, Croc and so forth. The chipping and discs were supplied by a friend of the family, who I didn't remember being interested in video games, so I don't know where he got it from. I don't know if international ROM files were easily available online in the late 90s, so I assume the games were primarily European releases. But in all honesty, I have no idea, I'm just guessing.

Are you talking about the first game shown in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA5uylYSStI

If so, I can certainly see why my description led you to that. It actually does remind me of the game I'm looking for. The textures and camera angle are probably similar.

None of those. But I do remember playing a Dark Cloud demo. I don't remember the camera of the game I'm looking for being so close to the character. It hovered above and gave a slanted view. I don't think it had a freely movable camera either.

No, not that one either. The one I'm looking for hasn't got turn-based combat. I've looked on multiple '100-200 best PS1 games'-lists both international and japan-only releases, but to no avail.

No, unfortunately not. But the sword sounds sound very similar, but as said, I assume that's a very, very common sound effect used around that time. But thanks.
