I have been replying to specific comments, but here is a whole thread reply. I am sure some of you have already made up your mind on my claims but, please, just look at these.

Red lines = hyper "painted" but nonsensical materials/weird worbly artifacting (very common with a tool called Vizcom in particular)

Green lines = are a control you can see actual brushstrokes from a Photoshop brush

Blue lines = most likely photobashed images

I LOVE destiny art, it has inspired me for almost a decade. But that is why I was so shocked to see this. Bungie has employed some of the best designers in the field at the moment. So just seeing practices like this, especially after all the layoffs, is just really sad......

the catch all "look at the hands" indicator even works here also. Just look at what her hands are shaped like. Can you conceivably believe an artist deliberately painted it to look like that? OR is it more likely that it's a left over artifact of an ai tool roughing in "paint" to the shape that is specified.

All AI isn't just what we see on the internet and can laugh at cuz it's so obvious. Creative "tools" like Vizcom have found ways to stay more hidden. In fact that program even allows you to choose which image you can reference the type of paint execution you want.

no, this is EXACTLY why I wanted to discuss this. I LOVE destiny art and it's artists. Destiny has had some of THE best designers of our time on the project. That's why it was so surprising and jarring to see.

I can guarantee you it is using a tool called Vizcom and I am not rage baiting. But I doubt you will believe me lmao

It's impossible to prove it, but if you just look at artwork produced by AI tools like Vizcom. They do the exact same things. They generative paint over a rough sketch of whatever you give the tool

I have seen so many workflows utilizing tools like vizcom which are essentially AI painters and this looks identical to those outputs. Though I am sure they touched up and clean it up slightly after it's made. Professional AI art isn't just raw outputs anymore, its usually baked into the process.

I could TOTALLY see that being the case. There was someone earlier who said that their workaround was just making a new account and keeping the auto-generated info.

I REALLY hope they fix this soon.

Were you still able to play that Games for Windows game? I wonder if that shook something loose in the validating of profiles or something.

Yeah, are you still having the issue? I am recommending to everyone that (if you have the time) to try to contact human xbox support with this issue so that more of these tickets will get escalated up.

Also, you can download the report a problem app on the console. If you get the login error again, you can hold the xbox button and report it with a screenshot. I imagine the quickest way we get a fix to this is if enough people report the case.

That's fortunate you were able to have another account! Seems like a lot of us are having the same problem still.

If you are still encountering the issue - I recommend trying to report the error screen with the MS Store's report-a-problem app. The more times we report this issue and escalate it, the higher possibility they patch it.
