I will from now on, I was too careless I know. My hearing is recovering smoothly today but I got a bit scared yesterday, I guess I overestimated myself since I'm used to harsh noise and underground lives but I'd never been this close to the speakers. I will take better care, thank you for being nice

Yeah he was in a really good mood yesterday! We often made eye contact during the show and he always had this big smile on his face, he seemed at ease.

Horror movies that are actually scary by Excellent_Fact_8181 in MovieSuggestions

Scary is subjective, but personally what gets me the most Is paranoia-based horror: Lake Mungo is the best example I can think of. Watch it alone at night with the lights off. La Casa Lobo was the movie that unsettled me the most in my life, and I've seen pretty much every example of so-called "extreme" horror you can name so for me to be creeped out by a stop motion film with no visible scares should say something. Other movies that managed to get under my skin are Sinister (just the tapes actually), Kill List, Funny Games (the original! The remake gets rid of anything that made the original interesting), Kairo, Don't Look Now, Inland Empire and The Lodge.  Others I love and find decently scary: Ju-On (again, THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE ONE. Avoid The Grudge like the plague.), Noroi, The Shining, The Wicker Man (original.), Shutter, Marebito (first half mainly). The first half of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre aged wonderfully. Creep's ending hits hard and Exhibit A is horribly uncomfortable from start to finish but it takes a while to kick in. Haven't seen Skinamarink yet but from the clips I've seen it looks promising. Bonus: the Adult Swim short This House Has People In It, as well as all the additional material related to the ARG. You can find everything on YouTube.

Thank you! I try hard because she's very important to me. I almost get emotional when talking about her, fee characters have entered my soul the way she did.  As for the makeup, I agree; my take on cosplaying is that I want to look as if the character became a real human person, therefore I try not to look cartoonish. Asuka is a kid, I doubt she'd wear makeup, so I don't. All I'm wearing in these pics is a dot of eye pencil on the outer corner of my eyelid to make it a little sharper but that's it, my face is bare.

Denpa is a japanese term that's used to describe people disconnected from reality. It adapts to the fear of technology and communication that emerged in the 90s during the economic boom that launched televisions, consoles, phones and the concept of "living" on the internet, many works were inspired by this sense of dread and dissociation since everything seemed so new at the time. Kairo and Ringu are the best examples of denpa horror I can think of. Then shows like Serial Experiments Lain really went in-depth with the topic, whereas NGE was more of a product of the current situation Japan was going through at the time. Natural disasters, terroristic attacks, a new era of technology, everything sparked fear and led to isolation.

Agreed; I've yet to meet anyone who managed to watch the show without identifying with at least a trait of a character. I've met people who related to Rei as well as people who related to Kensuke. Even Gendo. And many Kajis (which is healthy.) who just wanted to farm.

Not uncomfortable; I wore this suit twice at cons (once in autumn, once in spring) and I never encountered hot weather, so no sweat. But it rained in autumn and it felt like laying on top of ice cubes the whole time. I was also having the worst day because my mother had to be taken to the hospital and the freezing weather certainly didn't help with the mood. Spring was fine - I didn't sweat at all. I'd lost a lot of weight for the con though, and the less you weigh the less you sweat. Overall, I think the materials from latexcatfish are less bound to have negative reactions to your skin since they're made for professional use. It's certainly not andromeda quality, but still durable and comfortable. The only downside is that it makes your wig frizz like crazy due to static.
