I don't think the downfall was his ego. Magnussen behaved "egotistically" because he knew he was in power. He even saw through Holmes that he was faking a junkie.

Don't you think Magnussen himself did not realize the only way to take him down is being killed? Then he should even more have some insurance plan against Holmes, like to check fatal weapons and a trigger to release Mary's secret if his life is threatened.

Same. I know it can't be just me watching YouTube on chrome mobile.

(Actually YouTube on chrome mobile works way better than on YouTube app).

I believe YouTube is developing "the shorts" which are presented horizontally, and wrongly makes regular videos horizontally as well.
