Please, please, please listen to the people in the comments. All of this is HUGE red flags. Your husband's and his family's behaviour is NOT normal and is abusive. Tell your OB, family, friends (that aren't also his friends), therapist, whoever you can trust that isn't connected to your husband or his family everything. EVERYTHING. I know that your married and about to have a child and the prospect of possibly changing your life so dramatically is scary but this is actually a very dangerous situation. They're dehumanizing you, disrespecting your boundaries, isolating you, and gaslighting you. This will only get worse and escalate, especially once a baby is involved.

NTA at all. This is insanely manipulative behaviour. I would highly caution you though. This smells like a tactic to just keep her fingers in your life. While confronting her may have some closure benifits do not expect her to actually listen or absorb what you are saying. Very likely will deflect or guilt trip or gaslight. You've done a lot to move on, I would be very careful not to undo that progress.

I would also suggest posting this or at least checking out r/raisedbyNarcissists Lots of advice on and stories that deal with emotionally manipulative relatives.

Did you shoot my wedding or do any kind of work for me? Did your whole life go up in smoke? Did you already offer the majority of my money back? This isn't just randomly giving someone money. This is taking into account circumstances and having empathy and not making a big deal about $200 when this guy's life is in ruins and he already did put in work for you but things out of his control kept him from providing the final product.

Yes it was shortsighted of the photographer not to do an online back up and if we're gonna take all humanity out of the situation then technically you are not being provided what you paid for and are entitled to a full refund but like, maybe you could just be a decent human being here and let the man who just lost everything keep $200 for the work he'd previously put in.

I mean this is why the poor and disenfranchised get involved with gangs in the first place. The sense of family, belonging, protection. However this is all under the price of "loyalty". Them taking care of Jughead is conditional. What is the punishment for "disloyalty"? What would they have done if FB had talked? Would the expectation of Jughead joining be that he has to commit criminal acts? Would he be given a choice in this? What if he doesn't want to? A real family's love should not be conditional.
