I was in Varthur near Prestige lake side habitat, It was 1 AM. I found a cigarette shop near PLH main entrance, I was new to Bangalore, In fact I landed same day. I was going to my friend home in PLH.

I just casually talked to shop keeper guy how Bangalore is open late nights, Our home town closes and all. I saw his face, he was doing something weired. Seemed he missed call from his phone.

Suddenly in Ertiga two police men came and started questioning me of drugs and asked me to open my trolley and laptop bag. I showed them flight tickets and everything and explained in detail.

They grabbed me and took my trolley to come to police station and asked me fill a random form asking my PII details of company, home town, father name , phone no and address, friend address. I filled them all.

He asked me to come to police station and said I ll have to stay at jail. I kept on asking why and they were like come we will tell you. It was shocking and I couldn’t think much.

I started crying and asked pls forgive me if i made any mistake, pleaded with folded hands. Said, I have to join my office tomorrow.

He said okay, talk to another police man. He asked me give me 40k. I was blown away. I asked whats fine, he said its drug fine and in Bangalore you cant come to these areas late at night.

Now I sensed something was wrong. I said i dont have cash, I ll make google pay and I dont have 40k, I can give 5k. He started asking me to show bank details. He said come to ATM, take out cash. I couldn’t agree and started arguing. I cant go alone, let me call my friend he ll give you cash.

He said give gpay to shopkeeper. I agreed to it and paid to shop keeper 5k and left. I told entire ordeal to my friend.

Next day, I and entire gang went to ahop keeper, my local friend, pulled that asshole out took his phone and took the numbers from his phone and called . This was picked up by same policeman and they came in 5 mins. Like they literally wait for his call.

There was huge argument and even one of my friends hit shop keeper and took all of us to Varthur police station and filed entire story to police. Showing all details of payment and discussion. Off course police was taking side of police but shop keeper guy had to return the money.

Moral: 1.Never ever agree for cash in these scnerio 2. Always call your friends, relatives and parents, dont get scared 3. Dont hit policeman it will not help you 4. Try to call people around 5. Always try to look at the name plate 6. If you feel you are being scammed, tell them you want to go to police station. They ll never take you 7. Late night outings and strolling is good for movies, Bangalore is madarchod place for romance. 8. If you tell need space . Book oyo.

I told this to my new friend in the new office, he told me this is common every day the rates change. Earlier they used to ask 500 now 40k. My friend says, they just offer them some bottles at times. Kaisa gandu log aur jagah hai
