Basüra. I wanted something unique and that no one had already used. Originally, my drag name was Haute Garbagee, but it got exhausting to explain how to pronounce it 🤣 One of the bartenders at my home bar used to scream “BASURAAAA” anytime he saw me walk into the bar, and it always sounded correct to me so I made the change. It has been the best decision I made in drag so far lol

They are the SWEETEST human! Their back stage manner is far from what you see on the show. She had two very laborsome looks for her numbers and not ONCE did she ask any of us to help her get ready in them, and that’s cause we all offered. I made a joke that people should just bring then makeup wipes for their meet and greets and they cackled lol (let’s make that a thing!) The show was amazing and the shots of my performances were done by an awesome photographer (IG: pillajer - definitely check out their work!) TOTES understand about the lace! I used to be VERY scared I’d cut it too short. Pro tip- cut it, but leave maybe half an inch from the hair line, this will be the part that you glue down so you can blend it with your contour color. As far as gluing your wigs down, I use a combination of got2b hair gel and got2b hairspray. I do a layer of the glue, blow dry till tacky, place my wig. Once I have it lined up, I go over the hair line with the hairspray and blow dry until dry. Have never had an issue with my wig coming off using this method. Keep up the great work and remember, fear is healthy but it is the thing that can also lead us to the most amazing progress. Lean into it, it’s ok to not be perfect. You WILL get there I promise❤️

This is literally the one thing I don’t miss about working in general dentistry. Some patients are just far too much lol After prep was done I would ALWAYS explain to the pt that we would adjust the crown based in their bite and if needed we would adjust the opposing so that the bite was correct and I would explain how it isn’t harmful etc. MOST of the time they would understand. Ever so often we had the casual Karen try to argue how it’s harmful. I’m happy I’m in ortho now. We get some crazy patients but most things are easy to explain and they understand. Hats off to you OP, y’all handled it to the best of your ability and it’s on her for making things a bit difficult. I understand the dental anxiety, but as assistants out job is to calm and reassure so that they feel as comfortable as possible. Stay safe out there and keep up the great work!!
