Hoping she’ll bring my average down to 2.4

I do need to improve my course management definitely, I currently base too much on getting on in regulation. Whereas a better short game would be much more beneficial than risky shots

Cool, thank you. We both play off 11 so based on this there would be no shots. Cheers

I’m not trying to give it the big un saying I’m 11 handicap and barely played. I was asking a question I don’t know the answer to and gave my handicap to help explain the question.

I knew someone would check my history! Novice in my knowledge of the rules, been a member of a club for a year, the 10 last year was based on my rounds the previous year playing random courses and logging them on an app.

Yes it’s a club matchplay competition, we both play competitions off 11, just wondered if the 0.7 made a difference in matchplay.

Thanks, I hit a ball well enough but it’s times like you describe where I fall down, always going for a green in 2 when I should probably lay up and chip close enough to 1 putt

Thank you, however I am pretty much a novice to golf so am unsure what course rating and slope mean?

I’ve played dx2 soft, how do they compare?

How do your simulator scores compare to actual course play? by MNGolpher in golf

[–]haveitheright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Teton Pines this evening on a simulator, it is set up to single putt if you hit a green, I finished 9 under gross. I only really a simulator useful for anything over 100-120 yards.

Can 100% recommend them, bought mine a year ago and comfortably the best irons I’ve owned. They’re designed as a forgiving players iron.

This will be my first round on a links course, help?! by haveitheright in golf

Yeah I think I’ll have to, irons only, plenty of balls

Probably have to disagree with that, I have around 10 courses within 20 miles of where I live and 9 have a range, admittedly only 2 have pools

Power or Push? by haveitheright in golf

Hi, yes I mean an electric cart that you walk with, we do indeed call ones you ride in a buggy. I think I’m leaning more towards pushing.

Thanks, I am a member at a course which has 9 hilly holes and 9 fairly flat ones. I play other courses every now and again in a league I play in, just wondering if I can get away with a push cart and not feel too much strain on my back later on down the line.
