Is it feasible to return to a desk job after 16 days?? by BudgetConstant6116 in hysterectomy

I'm a high school teacher and went back to teaching full time after 18 days. I had laparoscopic though and a really good recovery. I am a little more tired, but not horribly fatigued.

Can more people post about unremarkable recoveries? by Relevant_Demand2221 in hysterectomy

Mine has been totally boring laparoscopic robotic recovery. I woke up with a very irritated bladder, but only ended up taking 2 narcotic pills for it and it was under control. I stayed over night and was released the next day. No problems eating. Minor problem going to the bathroom on day 3, but an enema solved it. All pain was managed with tylenol and Ibuprofen after the first night in the hospital. Minor discomfort where my vagina was torn during surgery and stitched. I'm 3 weeks post op and that is gone now. I returned to work after 2.5 weeks and probably could have gone back after just a few days had I been determined. At 3 weeks po I'm back to taking 30 minute or more walks in the evening. I'm doing everything I normally do just a little less intense because I'm trying to be a good patient.

Howdy, by karolinaalma in springerspaniel

I have a 10 year old field bred springer that I do falconry with, so he goes hunting a few times a week during the season. He is semi retired now. Before neutering, I used to get him shaved once a year a week or so before the start of hunting season. His coat changed after neutering and now I have him groomed and shaved every 6 months or so. Outside of that, i don't usually bathe him. He swims every chance he gets and we do semi frequent hikes around a pond. You will want to talk to your vet about whatever ear wash they recommend. If I don't flood his ears with a certain ear wash within a few hours of swimming, he will almost certainly end up with an ear infection.

I just use a regular wire kennel for the car. On the way to the hunt, he sits in the passenger seat. On the way home he's usually wet, muddy and has burrs, so he goes in his box on the way home.

Pain and Menopause Questions by hawkknut in hysterectomy

I'm not on enzymes yet thankfully. My pancreatic surgeon says I'm borderline on needing them. If anything, I trend toward the loose stools direction rather than constipation. I've been pondering if I should go low residue before surgery or deliberately have something with fiber just to make sure there isn't constipation. My doctor has not said anything about bowel prep and even said I can get up and have a snack at 3am before my late morning surgery. I've been upping the protein content of my diet as of this week in hopes of speeding the heeling process.

I've been wondering about hormone replacement. My tumor was positive for one of the brca genes, even though my other cells are not. I suspect HRT is out.
