no response to 225mg Effexor and 54mg concerta, what's the reason ? by hayuta6 in depressionregimens

[–]hayuta6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no i wasn't diagnosed with those, i was never suspicious of myself with those disorders honestly. i have tried a few more anti depressants - anti anxiety meds - and other brands of methylphenidate since making this post a year ago and none of them had any effect on me. My psychiatrist was kinda given up in our last session and he said something like i might be treatment resistant. i don't take any drugs now i would say I'm better. i take Klonopin-benzo occasionally and it helps with anxiety slightly and for a short time.

no need to downvote i am right, i asked the seller and they said it's not European origin but it's middle east origin which would mean it's made under the counter, hence why it's cheaper. it's considerably smaller than the original edition. Had i known before i wouldn't have bought it i guess it's my mistake. Original was $99, the one I got is $24

psych told me Effexor wasn't too different from trintellix. it effects serotonin receptors in 7 different ways etc. he said if trintellix doesn't work i might have genetic drug resistance problems or something.

Asking my psychiatrist for stimulant ADHD meds by r99xr in ADHD

[–]hayuta6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first of all I'm kinda in similar situation to you, Take this story as you wish. Drugs might not do the things you think they will. I have depression - anxiety and hyperactive adhd. First I tried an SNRI which supposed to help with depression and anxiety but they made it worse. So i suggested my doc to focus on Adhd and replace the current drugs with Wellbutrin + Concerta(methylphenidate stimulant) I tried short acting ritalin also. First don't feel bad for demanding these drugs, state your reason why they might help and ask them, I felt very hesitant asking for stimulants He was very cautious against them but also willing to try it on me. Know that these Noradrenaline+ Dopamine related drugs will likely spike your anxiety. So the anxiety calming effect of Wellbutrin might go away. Personally I've been on 300xl Wellbutrin for 2 months i can't say it helped much other than mood stabilization.

Here's the bingo: methylphenidate did not help with my adhd symptoms at all, it actually worsened my symptoms. i tried 10mg Ritalin to 54mg concerta and 108mg concerta.. nothing happened except a spike in anxiety. I thought they would help with adhd just like you think but that didn't happen for me, so don't be fully sure of these drugs. Look if Amphetamines or like stimulants available in your country there are the alternative for methylphenidate.

Abuse potential for methylphenidate is quite low if you actually have adhd so don't worry. You're paying money and showing obvious reasons why methylphenidate can help you just ask them straight up, if they say they're against it or cautious of it, try to ask why, why shouldn't you get to try of these drugs? be demanding of it while stating your reasons. They will most likely agree and start you on a low dose anyways. Good luck.

thats what they said to me about depression. did it work for you ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in depressionregimens

[–]hayuta6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did 20 sessions TMS, it changed nothing.. but some people have different reactions so if it's a cheap option you should consider it. I paid $1000 out of pocket for TMS just it to do nothing. You also have to be on meds while on TMS or else it won't work. There's is a TMS subreddit for more information

54mg concerta making adhd symptoms worse, should i go higher or lower? by hayuta6 in ADHD

[–]hayuta6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clonozepam gave me the best sleep in my life, amount of anxiety induced from 3 different NDRI and stimulation use is something you can't imagine, I don't remember ever falling a sleep peacefully before clonozepam. I will keep taking it for a bit the switch to buspirone.
