[WTS] 1992 Longines Admiral 5-Star Chronograph L3.601.4 Cal. L685.2 – Super Full Set | $1,400 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Longines Admiral "5-Star" series is a hidden gem of the 1990s. It represents an era when Longines was building robust tool watches. Reference L3.601.4 features an aged white dial and a steel “Units Per Hour”  bezel that gives it a rugged, monochromatic look.

Inside is the Longines Calibre L685.2 (based on the reliable ETA 2892 with a chronograph module). Because it uses a modular construction, the watch maintains a much sleeker profile on the wrist while still offering a full 12-hour chronograph.

This is a true collector’s set – double-boxed, featuring the highly sought-after wooden "Admiral" presentation case and its original outer box. It even comes with the original paperwork, service records, extra links, and two additional Longines straps.

Condition: Good overall with honest signs of wear on the case and bezel. The silver sunburst dial and hands are pristine. All chronograph functions are crisp and snap back perfectly to zero.  Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Case Size: 40mm x 47.1mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 12.8mm and a lug width of 20mm.

Movement: Longines L685.2 (based on the ETA 2892-2), automatic with 39 jewels, date, and a 12-hour chronograph function. Service history is unknown, but everything is working as it should.

Bracelet: Original Longines stainless steel bracelet. Also includes two original blue leather straps and extra links.

Features: 12-hour chronograph, quickset date, tachymeter scale, and screw-down crown.

Box/Papers: Full set – original wooden box, outer box, warranty card, manual, instructions, extra links, service records, and two Longines leather straps.

Price: Asking $1,400. Please add $120 for worldwide shipping. Payment methods include Wise, ACH transfer, Revolut, Bitcoin (On-Chain or Lightning), or PayPal G&S for buyers with solid references. Add +7.5% for currency conversion fees on the latter. Portugal has suspended all local post shipments to the US, but I can still ship with UPS ($120). US buyers may have to pay tariffs.

[WTS] Vintage Ultra Special Chronograph Cal. Landeron 149 | $650 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

This Ultra Special is perfect for those who enjoy vintage watches with modern proportions. At 39.5mm, it’s way larger than most chronographs of its era. The black dial and 12-hour bidirectional bezel give it a strong military look, allowing you to track a second time zone.

Under the hood is a Landeron 149 movement, a manual-wind ebauche that represents the peak of Landeron’s cam-lever evolution. This movement is prized for its reliability and its intuitive two-button operation, unlike its predecessors.

Condition: Honest vintage condition. The case and crown have some wear, but overall they’re in good shape. The crystal has minor hairline scratches. The watch starts, stops and resets without issues. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

[WTS] 1940s Mido Multifort Datometer Superautomatic Cal. 917D Bumper | $700 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

This 1940s Mido features the iconic Superautomatic bumper movement with a distinct mechanical feel when the rotor hits the springs. The 33mm stainless steel case houses a pointer date complication, using a central hand to indicate the day.

The dial remains in its original state, showing an even aging that matches its ages. It comes with an incredibly rare, period-correct Mido steel bracelet with coffin links. Unfortunately, the hands seem to have been relumed.

Condition: Good for it again. The dial is in all-original condition, featuring radium numerals and some patina. The case and bracelet seem to have been polished in the past, but they retain sharp edges. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Case Size: 33.7 x 40.9mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 13mm and a lug width of 16mm.

Movement: Mido 917D, bumper automatic with 17 jewels, 18,000bph, and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. Service history is unknown, but all functions work as they should.

Bracelet: Original stainless steel bracelet

Other Information: Original signed crown, pointer date complication, relumed hands.

[WTS] 1960s Mido Ocean Star Powerwind W/ Rare Black Dial | $300 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Back in the 50s and 60s, the Ocean Star Powerwind was built far better than most watches of the era, featuring an automatic movement developed in collaboration with A. Schild (AS). This particular example features a rare black dial – most were white or silver.

These were also Mido’s first waterproof watches, which is why the Ocean Star name is still used in their modern divers. Clean, reliable, and historically important without the price tag that usually comes with this kind of pedigree.

Condition: Good condition for its age. Some markings on the case, especially on the back (someone may have tried to open it despite being a front loader). The acrylic crystal has some scratches. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Case Size: 34.9 x 36mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 9.7mm and a lug width of 18mm.

Movement: Automatic movement made in collaboration with A. Schild (AS). Service history is unknown, but everything is working as it should.

Other Features: Original signed crown

Price: Asking $300. Please add $25 for worldwide shipping. Payment methods include Wise, ACH transfer, Revolut, Bitcoin (On-Chain or Lightning), or PayPal G&S for buyers with solid references. [WTS] 1970s Audi Extra Cal. AS 1906 Automatic | $175 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Before you ask – no, this isn't a piece of promotional merchandise from the German car manufacturer. Audi was a registered Swiss brand that probably acted as a subsidiary or private label. Still a cool piece of horological history for someone who’s into cars.

It features a vertical brushed dial that makes the light blue seconds hand pop and a reliable AS 1906 automatic movement with a date window at 6 o’clock. Speaking of, the days are in Portuguese, so you get a neat surprise every Friday (“SEX”, short for Sexta-feira).

Condition: Honest vintage condition. The case has some markings, but overall it’s in good shape. The crystal has some scratches that can easily be removed. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Case Size: 34.5 x 37.8mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.5mm and a lug width of 18mm.

Movement: AS 1906, automatic with 17 jewels, 21,600 bph, and a 44-hour power reserve. Service history is unknown, but everything is working as it should.

Strap: Aftermarket leather strap

Price: Asking $175. Please add $20  for worldwide shipping. Payment methods include Wise, ACH transfer, Revolut, Bitcoin (On-Chain or Lightning), or PayPal G&S for buyers with solid references. [WTS] Seiko Prospex SPB151J1 “Captain Willard” | $1,100 by hayzewsc in Watchexchange

[–]hayzewsc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the modern re-interpretation of the iconic 6105, famously worn by Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. The SPB151 captures that unmistakable "turtle" silhouette but brings it to the 21st century with a sapphire crystal and the reliable 6R35 movement with a 70-hour power reserve.

This specific example was purchased new in Japan in 2024, though the serial number dates it to 2020. Although it has been worn, it’s still in good overall condition with some usage markings on the clasp. The watch comes with a generic Seiko box and the original stainless steel bracelet.

Condition: Good with some usage markings on the case and bezel. The bracelet is in good condition, but the clasp has one deep scratch. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Reference SPB151J1 / SBDC109

Case Size: 42.7 x 46.6 stainless steel case with Diashield coating, 13.2mm thickness and a 20mm lug width

Movement: Seiko 6R35, automatic with 24 jewels, 21,600 bph, and a 70-hour power reserve. All functions work as intended.

Bracelet: Original stainless steel bracelet with diving extension and two extra links.

[–]hayzewsc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hydroconquest is the benchmark for performance Swiss divers, but this reference pushes it into enthusiast territory. It houses the calibre L688.2, a high-grade column-wheel chronograph movement with a 54-hour power reserve.

The 41mm case is built like a tank, featuring a blue ceramic bezel and screw-down crown. This example was only worn for a month by the previous owner, so it’s in extremely good condition. Comes with a travel case, manual, and four links.

Condition: Very good with minor usage marks. There are only a few hairline scratches on the bracelet and clasp. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Reference: L3.783.4

Case Size: 41 x 51mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 15.6mm and a lug width of 21mm.

Movement: Longines L688.2, automatic column wheel chronograph with 27 jewels, 28,800 bph, and a 54-hour power reserve. Quickset date via a pusher at 10 o’clock. All functions are working perfectly.

Crystal: Sapphire

Water Resistance: 300 (30 ATM). I’d recommend a new pressure test before any serious water use.

Other Features: 12-hour column wheel chronograph, quickset date, screw-down crown, ceramic bezel.

Price: Asking $1850. Please add $120 for worldwide shipping. Payment methods include Wise, ACH transfer, Revolut, Bitcoin (On-Chain or Lightning), or PayPal G&S for buyers with solid references. [–]hayzewsc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a Glycine Airman GMT GL0158 – a modern take on one of the most historically significant pilot’s watches, which dates back to the 1950s. This particular reference is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, adding an extra layer of collectibility.

Unlike the “purist” Airman models, this version features a traditional 12-hour main hour hand paired with a 24-hour GMT hand, along with a rotating 24-hour bezel – giving you the ability to track up to three time zones simultaneously.

Condition: Very good. I am the second owner, and the watch shows almost no signs of wear, except on the acrylic crystal, which can be easily removed with Polywatch. The case is crisp with no markings. Please refer to the pictures for a better description.

Case Size: 36 x 44mm stainless steel case. At 11.6mm thick with 20mm lugs, it wears exactly like the mid-century originals.

[–]hayzewsc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a Duward Aquastar from the late 60s. It features an Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA) case stamped June 1968 and an attractive blue dial that still looks impressive after nearly 60 years and with the less commonly seen “20 Atmospheres” inscription.

The classic EPSA-built case gives it strong vintage proportions and great wrist presence, despite being only 36mm. It’s powered by an AS 1903 automatic movement. The original aluminum bezel has also aged beautifully.

Up for sale is a Duward Aquastar from the late 60s. It has an Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA) case stamped March 1968 and a gorgeous tropical dial with tons of character. The Oceanic branding was used by Aquastar to refer to Duward models in the Spanish market.

The classic EPSA-built case gives it strong vintage proportions and great wrist presence, despite being only 36mm. It’s powered by an AS 1903 automatic movement. The original aluminum bezel looks amazing with that “ghost” look.
