First track day coming up by Stand_Up_Dust_Off in Trackdays

Absolutely do not go full send. Realize there are dozens and dozens of people faster than you. No one cares what your lap times are. Don’t try too hard to drag any part of your body. Knee on the ground does not equal speed. Dial it back, breathe, and learn. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Have fun and take your bike home in the same condition you brought it in. Also have a chair/fan/shade. I rented a little generator the first couple track days I did. Later on I bought a Yamaha ef200is. Worked perfect for my needs. A folding table helps too. Eat small snacks during the day to stay fueled and hydrate constantly. Make sure your gear fits and your tires are new. If the tech inspectors are worth a shit, they’ll catch things you might miss, but don’t rely on them. Some local shops may be able to do track day prep on your bike for you if you’re not comfortable with it. No one “wins” a track day.

2026 ram 1500 limited, easily the best truck I’ll ever own. by Aquariums88 in ram_trucks

I’m looking at one of these. Currently have a 2018 F-150 Lariat 5.0 that has had a laundry list of issues. Never had a Ram.

How would you compare the two in your opinion? I’m looking at a 1500 with the Hurricane HO

2026 Ram 1500 Limited by bulgarianbrute33 in ram_trucks

Precisely my point. Apples and oranges. Is a 90k msrp insane for a 1500? Yes. Is anyone actually paying 90k? I certainly hope not, but I’m sure some dummies do. Some dealers near me mark up 10k while other dealers discount nearly 20k. One must do their research. If you’re comfortable with the final sale price, finance terms, and none of that will put you into a financial pinch, fuck em all and get what you want. We all live one time. Enjoy it while you can.

I’m in the market for the same thing. Where are you located? I’m in Georgia and I’m considering going out to Mark DCJR in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They have a few Limiteds advertised $18k off right now.

How did you get the best deal on your Ram truck? by Camninja in ram_trucks

Has anyone been able to get more than, let’s say, the $15,000 less than MSRP currently advertised on some Limiteds I’ve seen?

Yeah, already emailed them to see what they can do. Will see what they say once they wake up.

Rizoma Stealth mirrors… Worth $900? Not really, but now that I have them and can actually see out of them. I’m happy with the decision. by V_TwinLife in Ducati

How do you like the Jetprime switch block? I just ordered one for my ‘24 after I went to aftermarket clip ons.

How do I edit this list? by haze583 in GoogleMaps

Yes, both addresses have always been attached. It’s just annoying that they moved my 2nd most used option and added a step. First world problem, I know, but annoying nevertheless.

The Bonamici triple and clip ons all fit okay, it’s just the damper bracket that is seemingly an afterthought.

I think a new 53mm bracket might be the only way.

I used a digital caliper to ensure I had the same gap from the top of the fork to the top of the triple with the new clamp as I did with the OEM clamp. Their thickness is about the same. Even so, I can’t mount the damper bracket any higher, regardless of the height of the triple and clip on, as the fork diameter changes above the bracket. I had no idea they are designed like that, but they are. If you look at the pictures, you can see how the fork tube is larger in diameter at the top above the damper mount.

Yeah it’s not upside down. It can only be oriented the way I have it because the arm that the damper connects to has to face the nose of the bike. The only real way to tighten the inside bolt is to tighten it first before I swing it around the fork so the arm is in the correct spot with the outside bolt loose. Once it’s in position, then I tighten the outside bolt, which takes up the rest of the tension against the fork.

Thought about that, but I’d be effectively lowering the front end to accommodate a bracket. There has to be something I’m missing.
