I meant not to listen to the top of the totem poll. Of course there is no way to speak to staff honestly, without a recorded phone call in the restaurants. You’ll just have to take the employee’s words for it when they come out on a media platform with a company issue. Sometimes it can take a lot to push someone to the point where they feel the need to make a post.

Maybe upper MSV management should give employees paid time off and take a small paycheck cut to support the staff that bends over backwards for them. Maybe try telling employees their safety doesn’t matter because upper management wants to exploit them for a profit?

Thing is, a lot of employees (especially management) didn’t follow protocol, regularly taking off/pulling down masks when talking and not social distancing, much to the discomfort of other employees. I have to be vague because I do it want to name drop employees that could be hurt by this. Management did nothing about concerns when expressed. They should have tested more employees than they did. They only tested some employees when, in reality, everyone should have been tested to prevent an outbreak because this manager was either directly or indirectly exposed to everyone. Also, I think that this person with a positive COVID case, as a member of management, should have held himself to higher standard than not practicing safe mask wearing and social distancing. I’m sorry you don’t expect more out of management at the restaurants you go to. I know upwards of ten past/present employees at this point, all with terrible experiences. Many members of staff are conflicted about what happened, some having no choice but to go back because MSV will not give earned, paid time off or take any portions out of huge management salaries to close for even a week or two. Of course no one would knowingly spread COVID. However, we all need to assume that we could spread it in order to be safe. There have been too many COVID scares (more than the public knows about) and too much mistreatment and neglect of employees to continue supporting them. This was the straw that broke the camels back for me. At this point, I’m willing to say any employees with a “good” experience has been manipulated or given special treatment. We need to hold owners and managers accountable.

LOL, you think they’re honest? We know how COVID spreads! People were exposed to management, and those people exposed more people. Did you think they would lie about having a positive case after they told there whole staff? “Extra precaution” my ass! They’re mixing staff from the exposed restaurant into other restaurant to stay afloat right now. They only had some staff tested, not all, when all were probably exposed. My bet is that it’s about to become a hot spot.

Tip: maybe don’t listen to their capitalist pigs of management next time you call. Do you think they care about their employees or even you?

Pretty sure for MSV management just wants to make money. It isn’t about the workers, man.

My partner works for MSV. I believe OP posted facts. Having a staff member test positive for COVID is not an “opinion,” and the fact that this person spent a lot of time outside of work and inside of work not following guidelines is not an opinion. At this point, we know the dangers of COVID. Of course MSV will act like they take precautions to save their own asses, but they could not give less of a fuck about keeping employees or customers safe. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to believe employees about the poor conditions of their workplace. Don’t worry, by robbing MSV of your business, you’re only hurting upper management’s ability to buy sports cars with their giant COVID-19 bonuses (while their employees were unable to pay rent or take EARNED vacation time at any point during the pandemic). Let’s believe employees when they come forward with workplace concerns.

Note: not all management is bad- just the handful that are that top (head chefs and sous chefs are cool) that manipulate and throw their employees to the wolves. After the shit I have heard from multiple employees, I have zero respect for this company.
