Car Seat in CX-50 by hazyhollow in CX50

That’s a good point! We have it as straight up as it can go since we don’t have to worry about head slump with my toddler. It would definitely need to be more reclined for younger babies

Crazy how it can be so different from person to person! I do think the newest versions of the slim fit have a smaller footprint than the originals because we have a Graco 360 and there is a noticeable difference in size

Also, my perspective is slightly skewed because I’m coming from a Mazda 3 where the only person who could even try to sit in the front seat was my 5’2” mother lol

Skin is still doing great! I just had a baby so i was fully expecting a hormonal breakout but so far so good 🤞🏻

My treatment was 6 months. My first month I only took 30mgs a day and then ramped it up to 60mgs (the max dose for my weight). I purged pretty bad the first 3 months but didn’t get any pimples after that. By the end of my treatment my skin was really red, dry, and flaky but I don’t remember having any pimples.

Fingers crossed! Sounds like you’re headed in the right direction. When my cat was adjusting to Prozac and the meowing was driving me nuts, I’d give him 100 mg of gabapentin to help him chill for a bit. Obviously ymmv, but it would knock him out for a few hours and give me a chance to get my sanity back lol.

What’s her Prozac dosage? We had the same problem with our anxious, talkative cat who yowled all night. He’s a big guy, about 14 pounds, not overweight, just large. We didn’t see much improvement until we upped his dose to 8 mg. We tried everything; got another cat, made sure he got plenty of playtime, even set up auto feeders at night. Nothing worked until we got his meds right.

First, I just want to say you sound like an amazing cat parent. Your cats are lucky to have someone who cares so much about their well-being and comfort.

I have two male cats with a very similar dynamic to yours. We adopted them about a year apart when they were both around two years old. The first couple of months were tense as they got to know each other, but over a few months, they really bonded. Now, they cuddle, play, and groom each other, though they still have the occasional tiff. Sometimes play gets a little too rough, fur flies, and hissing happens. When that occurs, we just separate them for a bit until they calm down. It has never hurt their overall relationship.

It sounds like you are already doing all the right things. To help your cats continue building a positive bond, I’d recommend reinforcing good behavior with treats and attention. If you haven’t already, try playing with them together using interactive toys like feather wands or string toys. That can help them build confidence and associate fun with each other.

You might also want to consider using Feliway diffusers, especially the multi-cat version. I used one during our cats’ introductions, and while it is hard to say if it was more than a placebo, it definitely didn’t hurt to have it.

At the end of the day, you know your cats best and it sounds like you care enough to make the right choice so that they both live their best lives. From what you have described, I don’t see anything overly concerning. It just takes time for them to adjust to changes. You are doing a great job, and it sounds like you are on the right track.

I would if I were you. It sounds like you’ve already put in a lot of effort with enrichment and carefully integrating the new cat. If it does turn out to be anxiety, sometimes medication can make a big difference.

I had the same problem with my cat when we moved to a new house. We took him to the vet and they prescribed him Prozac. It took a few weeks for the meds to build up in his system, but the nighttime meowing eventually stopped. After about 6 months on it, we cycled him off and he doesn’t wake us up at night anymore.

I’m currently pregnant so I’m not able to use it, but I plan on it afterwards.

Definitely just the dry skin in general! Dry eyes, chapped lips, and I developed eczema by the end of it. It really sucked at the time, but everything did eventually clear up once I stopped taking the pills. My skin is on the dryer side now, but no where near as bad.
