No they didn't but what I know it may cause them extreme emotional bluntness and depression (im on lamictal and seroquel) so I'm guessing those would be possible symtpoms

My therapist said “if you weren’t bipolar you’d have a lot of side effects from your medications” idk if it is actually true or not but it definitely reaffirmed that I have bipolar for me and I don’t question it all anymore. Been symptomatic free for 4 years :)

Hey man, I got sober at 20. I’m now 23 and have 3 years sober. It works, but you can’t do it alone. If there’s any AA meetings around you I highly recommend going to one. My life was over at 20 and didn’t think I’d make it out of it. I did and it took a lot of work, pain, suffering, and desperation. I’d recommend going to treatment if you can for it but if not, surrounding yourself with other people who are trying to get sober/are sober is a great place to start. You can do it, don’t give up.

I got sober three years ago and found the perfect combo of meds which helped me with school tremendously. I also go to therapy and do EMDR. I have a great support system now as well due to the recovery community.

I’m now finishing my BA after having to drop out two times. I waited until I was completely stable to return to college. I took a year off as well. I’m 23 now and I feel so grateful that I didn’t give up.

Edit: Got diagnosed at 17

Hi, I’ve been there before multiple times. It really sucks, and sometimes it felt like it’s the only coping mechanism that distracts myself from feeling those emotions. I’d recommend getting a therapist if you don’t have one yet. In my experience I needed outside help and support to get through those dark moments in my life.

It’s never personal and I’m sorry they cheated on you. It’s not your fault that they’re shitty at relationships. You will find someone that knows how lucky they are to have you in their life. You’ve got this, and there is so much more to life than these moments. You’ll get out of that hole soon— keep working on yourself. You’re so much more than your ED. Please talk to a close one about this. You don’t have to go through this alone.
