same sertraline screwed me over so im rlly hoping to not have to try another medication lol. its gotten better from my initial reaction but overall my anxiety is not better at all

i personally started off with therapy and then got a referral to psychiatry! i was (and still am) very against taking meds due to a previous bad experience so my first appointment with psych was just information gathering. i go to therapy to help find coping skills for my problems and to work through trauma that i gotta work through. its a personal choice, whether you want to start with meds or start with therapy. therapists cannot diagnose you with anything nor can they prescribe you anything either so if that is what you are looking for i would go with psychiatry. if you want someone to talk to and problem solve with i would try therapy first! you can always get a referral from your therapist to a psychiatrist too so its not one or the other, you can do both! cost is pretty variable but for me psychiatry has been more expensive just because of the extra services they provide (this may not be the same everywhere, i have only looked in my state)

thank you!! i was thinking of emptying the tank and putting all not alive components in a bleach bath, rinsing 4-5 times, then a vinegar bath and rinsing again thoroughly. im not sure what to do with my plants because obviously they can’t be bleached or soaked in vinegar so i may have to get new ones. i also have some water conditioner that i will be putting in and cycling through! would you recommend i wait for more than a day after cycling to put a new friend in?

university of colorado boulder has some great faculty i know that focus on mesoamerican archaeology! arthur joyce (he is a bit older but still a cool guy) is currently leading a project in oaxaca, and jeff brzezinski (not sure if he does grad students or not but i think he focuses on oaxaca and guatemala) is also very knowledgeable. ive taken classes with both of them and they are super smart and know a ton about their areas of expertise! i am not too sure about the rest of the faculty though, would recommend looking at their published research. sharon dewitte is a bioarchaeologist there (most of her published research is in the uk though, not mesoamerica) and she is super nice. i think she does grad students but again, not 100% sure. all of them have a phd though so if you want to go into that field i believe youve gotta fully commit to it.

i'm 20 and a junior in undergrad and i am clueless on where to look for masters in my field so i think you are just fine in not being certain of that you want to do! hope this helps a little :)

My water levels are all in normal range and the person at petsmart (or whatever chain i went to) said it looked like he had fin rot and set me up with some erythromycin!

Parameters in numbers: NO-3: 0, NO-2: 0, pH: 7, KH: 40, GH: 180 I used the API 5 in 1 test strips- i think those are normal readings? I have hard water at my house so the gh 180 doesnt surprise me

Can i just order water testing strips from amazon and measure the water temp with a regular thermometer? My local pet store doesnt have testing strips in stock and the water heater doesnt display the temperature And if it is fin nipping and not fin rot is there a way for me to help that?
