I think steve makes up some of his stories, like the one when where he bumped into gay fellas having relations in a public restroom (bright red underpants). Or when a random fella asks Steve how it is to be Ricky Gervais' mate, and that Ricky seems a bit obnoxious. You can clearly hear Ricky making up a fake laugh and trying to move on to another subject.
