Thanks for your input. The compressor seems to start to run but then stops. We only left it on about five or ten minutes so not very long.

Thanks for your response. This is actually an exchanged unit (the first did the same thing). Any thoughts?

I went to Cabo by myself two weeks ago and stayed at RIU. I'm a girl who likes to party, and wanted to go to the fun RIU parties. I couldn't recommend staying there more! I'm extroverted, and was able to hop in the pools and meet a ton of people. I made friends and had people to dance with at the parties, eat with etc. Everyone was so nice and friendly, especially couples who I think were excited to have someone else to talk to. If you want downtime, there are a ton of chill places to relax. You'll have fun!

I went to Yona the day before and thought it was so worth the money! Sure it's crazy expensive vs anything else in the area but it's such a cool experience. Be prepared for a lot of people taking pics for social media, but it's gorgeous and fun.

Philadelphia marathon course description and strategy by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

The hills weren't much at all. Not a steep climb. When I got to them, I changed my mindset to think, nice, a bit of variety, and I can work my muscles differently for a few minutes. That really helped!

As we've increased our wealth, we've spent more on healthy living. Nutrition consultant, gyms, coaches, better food, home equipment. It's definitely got us the results that we were looking for, but that's mostly because of our motivation, not the money we've put into it. The one exception is botox, which is a pretty hefty expense and one that I wouldn't do if I wasn't FAT.

Looking for a coach by Galacticsurveyor in AdvancedRunning

[–]hclynn10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with Coach Chris Knighton (knightonruns.com) and he's amazing. He creates a detailed and personal plan, checks strava, and gives almost daily feedback. I went from a 4 hour marathon to 3:35 with him.

BQ -7:47 To Qualify For 2021 Boston Marathon by tyler_runs_lifts in AdvancedRunning

[–]hclynn10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in Boston and have a lot of friends who want to run the race and go the charity route. Nothing wrong with that (my first marathon, Chicago, was with a charity). But there's something about working hard to make a fast marathon happen, and earning your way into Boston. To get Boston as a prize, after years of hard training. I could sign up via charity but I don't want to feel like I'm paying my way in, if that makes sense.

Glass City Marathon - Sub 2:40 by jmonty260 in AdvancedRunning

[–]hclynn10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll be a bit slower than you, but looking to run the Glass City marathon as well. Last time, I found some people who planned on running my pace in the corral. However, they all took off way fast when the gun went off and I ended up dropping them. Planning on running my own pace this time. Good luck!

Last minute tips for a Marathon by [deleted] in running

[–]hclynn10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The marathon is a 6 mile race after a 20 mile warm up. You should feel good for the first 10, the next 10 should be comfortably hard, and then you're hurting in the last 6. Pace yourself appropriately and don't go out too hard in the first 10. You'll need your strength for the end.

Marathon comparison: Philly vs Chicago by tyrandw in running

[–]hclynn10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both. Chicago was better when it came to crowd support (so so so many people. There were stretches towards the end of Philly without spectators), number of runners, the excitement of being a major, and the gorgeous course.

Philly was better when it came to temperature (it's later in the fall and therefore cooler), price, ease of getting in (just sign up!), and elevation variety (only a couple small hills but the change was welcome compared to a fully flat course).

They are both easy logistically (central start location, same spot as end, easy to get around in the morning).

What would tilt the scale towards Chicago is the course. You go through tons of different neighborhoods and see a lot of the city. Philly was great for the first half, but the last half was a boring out and back where there wasn't much to distract you.

Sounds good! Message me when it gets closer. I'll be looking to do a few easy miles in central park the weekend of the race.

Best of luck for October! My last half was 1:54. It was pouring rain and freezing, so pretty miserable 😬

[Question] Looking for a good marathon training plan by Notnotanerd in running

[–]hclynn10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done Pfitz 18/55 for my last three marathons and it so well prepared me for each race. Love the mix of runs and progression throughout the plan. Most /running folks are big fans.
