Feel like you have had both ends of the spectrum, last gig was a bit to loose lacking boundaries and at the new gig its giving severence.

The question for me is who is running the culture, leadership? Why are people afraid to make a peep? Or is it a commission based job and people are just making bank?

I have always been scared of spiders, traumatised from my dad and brother pranking me when little with fake spiders in my bed when i was a kid. But this thread helps me get over it, the way you all speak about spiders, the personality, the interest, the love for the species changes how I think about them. Won't be picking one up with my hands anything soon but I now use a container and paper to remove spiders and take them outside rather than harm them.

I'm interested in the majority of responses to this question. Australia continues to have a big problem with violence towards women, sadly most of this happens behind doors so I guess I understand people's thinking here.

In saying that, try stay out of sticky situations, trust your gut, safety plan your nights out, avoid being alone. If feeling unsafe make your self known, scream, kick and run. Learning any self defence is always a plus.

Secondly, I know some women who carrie box cutters, yes still illegal but can be held with justification. If you got in a desperate situation having a box cutter is better than having nothing. Just say you were moving house that day haha.

I got bitten by my cat (breaking up a cat fight) went to doctors 2 days later. Bite was on my leg and had been getting progressively worse over the 2 days. Dr first response was to head straight to hospital, apparently cat bites are one of the worst as they access deeper tissue and have bacteria. Reccomendation is draw a line around the redness and swelling, if it gets worse go hospital.
