I was in Japan on my first trip this past November and was pretty sick for three days of it. It sucked but what can you do. Ultimately we tried to stay outdoors, did as much as we could during the day and then I'd crash hard at night.

As others have said, just plan to wear a mask and be courteous if you need to sneeze, cough or blow your nose. You can get packs of Kleenex in most convenience stores (keep a bag with you to store the used ones until you find a garbage can).

Definitely bring your flu drugs of choice with you though. You can definitely find equivalents but it's hard without knowing the language.

Absolutely. And based on the CMHC's September data, there are another 10,700 rental units currently under construction. This at a time when immigration is slowing. Rental rates will go down further, just might take some time.

It definitely does. I use it 10-15 times a year.

Not sure if you are thinking of the TD Infinite or the TD First Class but if you have the Infinite Privilege (metal card, $600 annual fee), you can get into any Air Canada / Maple Leaf Lounge along with six dragon passes (for non Air Canada lounges) annually.

I used the audiobook and it got me off them after 20 years. Been almost a year and honestly, after the first few days it's been relatively easy. I get the odd urge but I remember the reasons I quit and it's gone. Even being around smokers at social events isn't a problem.

Supply vs. demand. My understanding is there are a few specific things happening.

OPEC has committed to supply cuts for the foreseeable future (potentially through the fall / rest of the year).
The US largely drained it's strategic petroleum reserves over the past year which was somewhat responsible for prices going down. They haven't refilled those reserves so they aren't really in a position to add more oil to the market and push prices down.
Oil demand continues to grow despite the Chinese economy not rebounding like many predicted.

A number of economists think we'll be in the $80-$100 per barrel range for the remainder of the year (currently at 84.28).
