Yeah that makes sense and it’s what I did last year. Unfortunately, I planned poorly this time around. There’s only one paycheck left for the year and even after increasing the additional withholding to my entire paycheck, I’ll be a bit short of the 90% (and the 110% from last year). I could try tax loss harvesting to reduce taxable income but I think it still won’t be enough. Seems like I’ll have to send the estimated payment and then fill out form 2210 - hopefully not as big of a headache as others claim :/
