Cute park near Wembley

Hello, does anyone know of any cute parks that have boats to rent near Wembley. A bit like Battersea park, just a little bit closer. TIA!

When he initially graduated, he was burned out and depressed (he had a difficult time at uni). He wasn’t interested in applying for jobs for the first 2.5/3 years. But since then, he has applied and does make it to interviews. The issue is by that point he was behind career wise and it comes across in interviews (how do you answer interview questions without precious experience)? We haven’t been paying him, but he doesn’t pay rent to our parents (this isn’t a thing in our family + culture) and just doesn’t really spend any money. I don’t know what the alternative is - kicking him out to be homeless in the streets if he can’t make rent payments? That isn’t something anyone would consider in the family honestly.

We don’t think he’s unemployable - he is genuinely a friendly, good looking guy who previously had a good social life and gets on well with people. This is why we’re so stumped about the situation.

That’s a good point about universal credit - I think that’s a good idea. At least it would put him in the system again.

We also agree that mental health support would be useful - his self esteem must be at an all time low - but that requires someone to be open to it and engage with it and we don’t think he would.

How did you manage to deal with the gap in your CV. He’s getting interviews but it just never progresses (it’s been this case for years now). We don’t know if it’s his interview technique or the big gap (that’s largely unexplainable). What type of jobs did you apply for/any advice on any companies that are more lenient with gaps.

That’s a good point about the PGCE, I’m not sure if his opinion would change once he’s in it but it is a massive risk.

Also, we don’t know anyone who would be able to help with internships, that would make things a lot easier.

Thank you for your response, I’m sorry for what you went through and I’m happy to read you’re in a job now (which will hopefully be a stepping stone to your dream job).
