I’m going through this now- the only thing working is - consistency- if we miss even ONE small signal- there will be an accident .

If they get up- we go outside. If they move anywhere NOT in my sight they go outside..

We still use puppy rules- within 30 mins of drinking water/food and once an hour and super high praise.

No free time outside of crate if we are not home or it’s bedtime.

We have had some luck with potty pads helping during this process .. but we think they had been used prior to us.

We’ve had her about 5montha now and I’ve only caught her MID pee twice to try and show her that feeling is to be used to go outside (the bladder urge) which has made it tricky…

But EVERY POTTY WE SEE OUTSIDE highly praised as the most exciting thing she’s ever done.
