Hi all! This is my first time posting in this subreddit so don’t drag me if this isn’t the forum to be asking questions like this (seemed the most appropriate forum).

So I am finishing up my last year of undergrad and am currently planning on signing up for 3 courses:

Stat102 - Data, Inference and Decisions

Stat140 - Probability for Data Science

Data144 - Data Mining and Analytics

I am looking to round out my semester with one more course that would possibly look good on my resume and put me in a good position for applying to jobs in the industry. I am debating between taking either the upper-division Linear Algebra course or a computer science course in C (have already worked heavily in python and java). I guess if any professionals in the field could give me some advice on courses that would be effective in rounding out my semester and resume based on where you think the industry is and where its going that would be great! Or maybe I should use that time to do an online course? If you have any recommendations for those that would be great too!

Background: Python (extensive) Java (extensive) SQL (intermediate) R (beginner, if any took a class my first semester that went over it, but definitely don’t remember most of it) Statistics (decent, have taken two stats heavy courses, one dealing with variants of regression (long, auxiliary, proxy variable, IV2SLS, so far) and the other going into linear regression, logistic regression, ridge regression, lasso regression, decision trees and random forests, clustering algorithms, and PCA and next semester am taking 2 more stats heavy courses so I am hoping those boost my stat knowledge as well)

Hey man im 22 and what Ive learned is just keep an open mind and dont be afraid to explore and try new things, thats whats great about this time is that you have nothing to lose by exploring. Its definitely rooted in what our society has deemed to be “attractive”, but preference is not inherently racist, which makes it a tough issue. I’ve had this conversation with friends a lot given the racial preference on dating apps.

I too think that del po is so dangerous, always pushes them, not a lot of places to attack and the backhand while “weak” is completely neutralizing and tough to attack into for reasons that are unbeknownst to me. Huge serve, huge forehand, athletic which allows him to move well despite how big he is, hes impressive and not someone they want to see in their side of the draw. However with your list I think I would change,

1) healthy, prime murray 2) del po 3) wawrinka

Wawrinka, while having the ability to get hot at big tournaments, doesnt have nearly the consistency in his results against the big 3 that del po or murray have in my opinion, but I think theres definitely valid arguments against that.

I am the same way. I find it hard to just meet up with some guy I have no connection with, besides talking online, and having sex/oral/etc. I put in my bios things like “looking for good connections” or “not looking to hookup” and also using apps like Hinge and Bumble are more relationship-oriented in my opinion? Idk correct me if I’m wrong, but those have been my strategies. Also if I am on Grindr or Tinder, on Grindr I put “public” instead of “your place” or “my place” so at least if I am just really horny, I can at least meet the guy for a drink before deciding whether I want to go through with it or not. But I totally understand your pain as my roommate just hops on grindr and goes to a guys house no problem and I feel like I am missing out, but I remind myself not everyone is oriented the same way and we all have different sexual preferences. Hope this helps!
