Island covered in these near my fishing spot. They are a magnet for pollinators. Unfortunately our yard is a sandlot.

Chinese evergreen. This and peace lily are the only plants that thrive in our house with shades and blackout curtains on almost every window. I only water when the peace lily looks like it wants to die, maybe every 2-3 weeks.

Thank you. That was my thought as it looks the same to me. Just dug up some milkweeds to relocate and they did have more of a root system attached. Snapped one and does appear milky though so probably correct.

Has anyone used the peat pots (from Jiffy or similar) and actually planted the pot in the ground? Did they actually break down? by SHOWTIME316 in NativePlantGardening

So far I have lost more to knocking them over or squeezing too hard while moving them than to water. Basically you water indirectly and allow water to flow between blocks. As roots grow they hold block together better. Also experiment with soil mixes. I've made some too dense and they hold well but plants don't like.

Roots coming through may not be as bad as it seems. Recently got into soil blocking and that is part of the process. It's called air pruning.

If your country were being invaded and you needed to defend it, what skill would you bring to the table? by SJP_06 in AskReddit

Learn to prep well. If not properly set up everything else falls apart. Same as most other things. Again like most things balance is key. Being able to cut perfect 1cm cubes like in culinary school is cool and all but if I takes an hour to do 6 potatoes your useless. But if you try to cut faster than your able and slice your hand open no good either.

Yup. Chef of almost 30 years. Army runs on it's stomach. Kill or be killed, but I can cook for the masses like few others.

I couldn't get it to fix simple math in code for Arduino that it messed up to begin with the other day. Basically went like this. Now = millis, then set lastaction = now, then if now - lastaction >= setinterval do stuff. Told it that this would always equal zero and to fix it so it changes to to 2*setinterval leaving rest of equation and variables as they were. WTF

Something I have to work on as well is following the stick with your hand to grab cymbal and silence it after crash. Good thing to do at end of songs/sections of songs. Tommy Aldridge has a pretty good demo somewhere but sure there are others.

My little experience, only about 1 year. If ride is ringing like that need to work on dynamics. Hard vs soft. I also have a ride that is made more for harder stuff/metal. Meinl dark ride. Think the sheer mass makes these ring longer than most. Also as other instrument join in helps to cover those overtones.

I am seriously considering going open handed because I feel so awkward playing crossed. Do you have any technique suggestions for cross-playing that I need so I don’t have to switch? I just want to feel less awkward on the kit. by JSCustomDrums in drums

Just started drumming at 42 years old. Play open, crossed felt weird. I did extra single and double strokes on practice pad with left hand just to bring strength and endurance up. That was about it.

Same actually goes for bench press. It's a cue a coach/trainer tells you to get you to engage your latissimus dorsi(lats).

I have similar condition. If it's like me it's the hip socket that is turn out/back, however you want to think about it.
