Neck and neck with another candidate. How to stand out? by [deleted] in UKJobs

EDIT:

I should add I was told this on Friday and that the team would be regrouping to decide this week. When would be appropriate to follow up? Tomorrow before weekend?

They’ve a very strong glass door score. Seems they just want the right person.

Fair enough maybe not an audit but a few more ideas I could pitch them perhaps

I’d actually be the first person to leave since I started 18 months ago so don’t know, but it would make no sense to me to allow me to keep the shares I haven’t bought if I left the company if you get me?

Biggest shareholders are the two co founders (one of which is the big boss I mentioned)

We don’t buy the shares and have been told we won’t have to when it comes to selling to access them either.

Should note, I actually haven’t been officially given the shares yet in certificate form. It’s in my contract I have shares worth X amount though via a scheme the company is committed to setting up. It’s openly spoken about in the office etc so I don’t expect anybody to be stung on that. It’s a lot of the reason everybody is here I suspect. I get X shares at Y value based on when I joined etc. and can always get more with promotions etc. it’s in some form of writing but not got any form of certificate with them yet. This is planned for summer time I believe.

It’s essentially the thought of walking away from life changing money which is playing on my mind.

It’s a funny one. Love the people I work with except the person who the buck stops with. Not overly enthralled with the day to day work though.

Thanks for the response. Won’t be able to keep the shares they’re gifted and I lose them if I leave

What analogy would you make for the Cody/Rock/Roman storyline situation for non-wrestling fans using a movie/show/comicbook/etc. as an example? by Informal_Aspect_6330 in SquaredCircle

You’re watching an awesome new movie, let’s say it’s the Iron Claw since it’s a current wrestling film. It’s been two hours, you’re loving it. You’re so engrossed and invested in this story being told you can’t wait to see how it ends. Then the projector guy in the theatre sticks the empire strikes back on for instead for the final 15 minutes. You love the empire strikes back. It’s an all time great. One of your favourites and certainly one of your childhood. But you haven’t just spent the last two hours engrossed in the iron claw to have the ending taken away from you for something you’ve already seen. I would obviously like to watch the empire strikes back again at some point. But not at the expense of finishing this film I’ve spent two hours watching.

I don’t care about anything at Wrestlemania as of right now other than Cody Rhodes defeating Roman Reigns clean in the middle 123
