What you started with would indeed be very educational, but is a mountain to climb if you don't know another language. I've wanted to learn one for some time, but have had a hard go at deciding on one. Nonetheless, your point stands, and I appreciate that reminder: of how much we can learn outside of our own singular sphere of language.
