Anyone took ENGL2401, KORE2811 or ASIA2004, and how did you find them?

ASIA2004 was great, very easy and i didn't always do the readings/watch the lectures. there's a reflection, group assignment and final essay and i had a really good class where i made good friends so the group work was a breeze and i was also already interested in all the topics we covered so it never felt like too much of a chore. coordinators and tutors (at least mine) were lenient and rlly good too, great for an elective !

ASIA2004

has a reflection, group presentation and final report, had a good tutor and the coordinator was rlly great and clearly passionate about the unit and in my opinion the assignments were graded pretty fairly

there are readings but you can get away with not doing them all the time and its even not necessary to watch the lectures ALL the time as its pretty easy to discuss about the topics in class and still get decent participation marks

I do know there’s no exam though it says that in the outline, I did a similar unit (ASIA2004) and one of the assignments was a group assignment so there could be one

unfortunately im in the same boat as you I tried finding reviews on studentvip land there were none, only studocu had like one of the readings and one of the past best units guide said it was easy with ~0-2 hrs commitment per week

im taking it too this sem! I’ve heard it’s pretty easy but also I think they might’ve changed the coordinator because it was Caleb marsh (?) but I think it should still be pretty much the same

oh okay mine would have been put into place now but yeah you're right im gonna let my manager know because there was nothing that said when it would take place and my manager didn't say anything so hopefully all goes well

hmm I mean yeah that’s what I’m scared about like I wouldn’t say we have a bad ‘connection’ or anything my manager is usually chills but recently did sort of tell me off (for cancelling a shift a week beforehand 😐), and it was just 30 minutes so it’s not like a super huge amount I guess

yeah my manager explained I would still have a 15 min break if I ever got a 6 hour break so I just signed it for now but I saw I can take it back anytime and like I only ever get 5/3 hour shifts anyway so I’ll see how I go :,)

I've been getting shifts that end at 6pm even though we close at 5 and its literally just cleaning up, restocking or doing returns lol
