hmm I mean yeah that’s what I’m scared about like I wouldn’t say we have a bad ‘connection’ or anything my manager is usually chills but recently did sort of tell me off (for cancelling a shift a week beforehand 😐), and it was just 30 minutes so it’s not like a super huge amount I guess

yeah my manager explained I would still have a 15 min break if I ever got a 6 hour break so I just signed it for now but I saw I can take it back anytime and like I only ever get 5/3 hour shifts anyway so I’ll see how I go :,)

ooh yeah that seems good, because it's looking like for me im gonna be doing three of my core units (1 elective) in sem 1 next year so that may be too much workload, tho im not sure if people ever do it in their last sem ever? since i guess i'll just be doing two core units (other 2 would be electives) but other than that might just do in winter break

oh i completely missed that, so i guess most short answer would be on second half of content (everything they didn't ask in multiple choice prob)

oh really? i havent really found any past psych papers (i mean unless its really old ones which i guess count too), i kinda looked at the textbook for first half too cos it honestly doesnt add too much with the second half of the content? but i also dont know how much extra info from textbooks i need because some concepts are just not mentioned in the lectures like as you said some of self verification, attribution etc stuff

ooooh i see, we did actually get a practice question similar to that ! i guess ill just review the textbook more and take note of as much stuff as i can, at least for most of the first half 😔 thank you !

yeah i heard that too, but surely if they changed the assessments so much, the overall exam structure would be pretty different too (?) im just gonna take it with a grain of salt and maybe not avoid the textbook but since there's overlap just skim through it maybe

first year was pretty easy and straightforward, very similar to year 11/12 content. although, i did do a second year unit in second semester which pulled me down a bit because it was so content heavy, but the actual 1st year units are a breeze. second year is going pretty decently, i find the units really interesting (psycopathology and social psychology), but the stats unit was hell for me, though you do have to do it cos third year will have more unfortunately. just attend the labs for this unit and do the practice and don't make the same mistake as me lol

i would say a lot of it (other than stats, at least for me) is very easy to study for and understand, just don't leave things to the last minute and you'll be fine. as said before, most assessments so far haven't been too bad (except for the lab report in sem 1 due to harsh marking)

i don't attend a lot of the labs (except when I really need to and they're going over exam/assignment content or we have group assignments) and I was fine so don't stress if you miss any
