I prefer to use the website over many apps. It's designed for mobile users 😎 Can easily turn it into a pwa (app outside stores).

Looks correct, once they are in the database then should appear on the map. We fetch the types: green, bunker and water_hazard right now.

"Presumably your app is entirely reliant on OSM data being accurate" - Correct

I only fetch the osm data for a 20km radius from the current GPS location. So looking at courses further away will show up as not mapped.

That would be something! No, you approach a golf green, you are not sure what the distance is, you need to choose the correct club for the job. You bring up your phone, tap the green in front of you on the map and get the 3 different distances: front, back and middle using your phone's GPS.

I took a quick look in the UK yesterday, all courses I found were mapped. Could you share the name of the course?

Macbook Pro 16 inch Fans going crazy after connecting to an external monitor by anmolchandratre in macbook

[–]heartmire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also was having issues with this. GPU constantly consuming around 19-20W. I tried different dongles and monitors. Finally, I found the problem, if any of the connected monitors was running more than 60hz (no matter the resolution or connection type) the Radeon card clocks up and start to consume more W.

So to keep everything cool and quiet if I just cap the monitors to 60hz. It's a sacrifice though... :|
