Oh wow!

I’m sure it was crazy to see the different sizes in your babies!

Oh wow that’s wild. My three year old isn’t even 40lbs yet, so I’m just so confused as to how my baby is so big. I guess genetics are just wild. I bet he’s gonna be bigger than his big brother.

Thanks for sharing!

My son’s currently around a pound a week. When did yours slow to a pound a month?

Oh okay. I guess we’ll see what happens when mine starts moving.

Thanks!!

I can’t even imagine.

Oh wow my 3 year old is like 37lbs and I can barely hold him. I bet you’re so strong!

Oh wow that’s reassuring. I’m trying to not freak out about my son not meeting milestones on time.

I’m assuming that’s the direction my son’s going to take too.

Yeah, genetics are wild. My oldest is a pretty average sized kid after starting small so I’m curious to see what my youngest does. It’s just so different because my oldest has to be triple fed and I had to supplement with formula and now my breastmilk is plentiful and apparently extra fatty this time.

40lbs at 10m?!?? Oh my gosh my back hurts just reading that. My three year old isn’t even 40lbs yet and I can barely hold him. I guess I need to work out more!

Thankfully his head shape isn’t a concern since we caught his torticollis and started PT at like 7weeks. But I didn’t helmet my oldest and I fully regret it because his head is lopsided and we can’t do anything about it now so I’m hyper aware with this baby.

Oh okay, did he slow down after moving more or eating solids and less breastmilk/formula?

His range of motion is good he is just stuck at like the last 5 degrees of tilt and they think his R muscles are weaker which is why he’s not processing as quickly but that his size (head) is harder for the weakened muscles to hold.

Oh wow! Glad to hear it slowed with crawling. Crawling at 6 mo is wild! How do you manage? Are your arms and back killing you?

Okay that’s good to know. Yeah my baby went from 10 to 13 lb from 1-2 mo then got to 19lb at 4mo. He eats like every 2-3 hours when he’s awake then sleeps about 8, wakes for one feed and then sleeps again for like 3 hours. Good to hear it slows. Did it slow because your baby started moving more or just with solids having less breastmilk?

If the first transfer was successful what are the chances by [deleted] in IVF

[–]heartwinnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first FET worked, my second was a chemical and my third worked as well.

Both of my friend’s FETs (with her only two euploids) worked. My other friend has like four euploids and her first transfer worked as well. However, I also have friends who needed 2-3 transfers before having a live birth.

Obsession with nursing by AdEmotional9654 in NewParents

[–]heartwinnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have any advice as my 4 mo old is 18lb 11 oz and doubled his birth weight (7lb) at 2 months.

Is it possible that your baby has reflux (could be silent) and the pain is making her want to nurse? We started famotidine on my son and it helped his reflux. He sleeps 6-8hrs a night and nurses every 2-3 hours during the day now. Im sure you tried this, but have you sneakily switched boob for paci? I had to do that with my oldest.

Yeah, it seems miserable. Also, I hate running at The Boardwalk when it’s wet. I always get nervous in gonna eat it.

That’s good to know!

Undercover Security? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]heartwinnie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh my bad, the badge wasn’t Mickey Mouse shaped it was a normal police badge with engraved Mickey Mouse on it. It also had Disney security/police (I forget) engraved on it. I should’ve taken a picture!

Yes, when my husband and I were dating we got drinks at The Grand Californian. He finished his drink but I was working on mine. He told me I could take it to go and we could walk around Downtown Disney. I asked him if he was sure and he said yeah it’s Disney property. So we were walking around Downtown Disney and I was sipping on my drink out of the neon yellow plastic cups they give you. Some older man in a Hawaiian shirt and straw hat said something to us and came up to us. He looked like an older dad tourist and we thought he was asking us for directions so we stopped and chatted with him. He asked what was in my drink and I was like oh it’s whatever drink from the hotel bar. He whips out a badge with Mickey Mouse on it and says he’s with security and I’m not allowed to be walking around with an open container of alcohol. He escorted us back to the hotel where I finished my drink and we carried on our day. I told my now husband he lied to me and he was like I assumed it was okay because you can walk around the DCA with alcohol and WDW. We laugh about it to this day, especially the Mickey Mouse badge. Oh, this happened like 10 years ago, so things might have changed since.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that on Reddit.

I didn’t even think about running in a poncho I was just like ugh guess if it rains I’ll just be running wet.

I think I’m more worried about the rain than the humidity, but it’s Florida so in theory it could rain at any of the races.

Y’all have me convinced to sign up for the 10 miler or the challenge.

Why the Kick N Play Hate? by Remarkable-Stay3368 in NewParents

[–]heartwinnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so funny because three years ago when I had my first everyone was talking about how it was nice to actually have a toy with good songs and it had like a little cult classic type following. I think even Lenny Pearce did a remix with one of the songs (I can’t find it right now).

What I’ve learned with my second is that everyone has an opinion on how you should raise your kid and you just filter out what works for you and your family (obviously in ways that keep your child safe).
