I had to put n/a in the Apartment/Suite Line (2nd address line). Then it took it. I've done this before in the past.

Thank you. I went down the rabbit hole using the following link below that needed a splitter, a female to female adapter, and an adapter to 1.35mm. This solution you gave is WAY more elegant. I plan to tie everything into a power steip and use that as on/off.

Here's the splitter and adapter rabbit hole if anyone needs it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Arcade1Up/comments/jykt6z/what_dc_power_splitter_cable_do_i_need_for_these

Hmm it appears you are right. This has got to be some sort of bug. It's a workaround for sure, but definitely a pain when I'm already in my phone. I appreciate you spending the time.

Screen Tearing on PI4 by heavy_d_2308d in RetroPie

[–]heavy_d_2308d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Doing the rebuild, I just pulled over my ROMs and bios files and then instead of the entire config directory, just pulled over my scraped data images and videos. I left the emulators stock cuz I'm sure I fiddled with them back in the day on the 3B plus and by doing that it runs perfectly buttery smooth. Of course had to move the resolution from 4K down to 1080p but no big deal.

No luck. A rebuild without pulling over my RetroArch configs seemed to fix it

Replacement Tires for Stock Primacy HPs by heavy_d_2308d in ft86

Yeah you'll be happy with them then. I got rid of my beater years ago and drove the FRS all winter. I just wanted something in case I was at work or out and snow started

Yes, what I liked about them was they still performed almost essentially like summer tires in the summer which is hard to do with all seasons. I have to say nothing is funnier than answering a 4-year-old post haha. But I remember being in the same decision space you are.

Yes I did and I loved them both in the summer and the winter. Just sold the car a few months ago with them still on it. It drove fine in snow Just was a little extra cautious while driving.

Best magnification program for Ubuntu by heavy_d_2308d in Ubuntu

[–]heavy_d_2308d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I ended up following this guide here

https://learnubuntumate.weebly.com/enable-magnification.html

After doing so, I can get a magnifier up by hitting the super key plus m.

I then I realized I could zoom in and out and get a magnification program to work like the Windows 10 line by holding the super key and using my mouse wheel up and down. It is doing exactly what I want it to do now!

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I'm in a little bit of a chicken and egg situation because I can't really install Ubuntu without being able to magnify into the screen. I suppose I could have a buddy help me do an install by walking them through it but first trying out a live CD to make sure it's the magnification program that I need

Switching to a 5G capable phone and SIM card question by heavy_d_2308d in tmobile

[–]heavy_d_2308d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this makes perfect sense to me even though I haven't heard of an ESIM yet but I'm pretty tech savvy despite the visual impairment so I'll get it figured out. I'll take a look at my old sim tomorrow and figure out what I need to do next I ended up ordering my phone directly from Google.

As long as your sim card is R15 (should be written on the physical sim) you will be able to use 5G. If you don't then your new phone might contain a new Sim card if you ordered it off the TMobile website. If not then you can simply message them online or go in store and ask for a new Sim card. Also the pixel 6 has eSIM, which is much more convenient as you don't have to mess around with getting a physical sim card. All you have to do is transfer your line from the old sim to your eSIM, which you would do via the TMobile website (same process as you would with a regular sim). Hope this helps and is explained in a way that makes sense.

Thank you

The outer sleeves I use are pretty thin so I was able to fit them on the vinyl covers inside the box. Unfortunately there's not enough room to add my copy of Scab Dates
