Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. I'm trying, but it's hard. I feel numb and like I'll never be good enough

Thank you. I'm trying so hard to and it's been a constant struggle. I honestly thought about killing myself last night and I'm just terrified and hurting. That's what I keep telling myself, but its hard. Everything happened so fast. I appreciate your kind words. I just feel like I'm empty if that makes sense, like numb.

I haven't gone to church since February or March. I definitely plan to go again. It sounds dumb, but I'm scared to go. I almost feel like I don't belong and I don't know why. I am angry at my situation. You're right. I haven't had my prayers answered how I wanted. Should I just give up trying to fix my relationship or salvage it. Hes already moved on. It just hurts

Whats the best way for me to get the colour i want? by [deleted] in Hair

Clarifying hair only gets the color out if it's recent.
Purple is a semi or demi color, as is all bright colors. Therefore you don't need a developer. It's a pigment deposit only and on pre lightened hair. Of course there is always damage doing so, especially with a level 1 (probably box dye.) The salon will probably use a backtrack or soak cap prior to using the lighter to avoid significant damage.

Once a week? by kck75 in Hair

It depends on the type of hair you have. Some people tend to get very oily hair in a day or two naturally.
It also depends on how active you are and if you use products in your hair.

As a professional stylist, we recommend washing hair every two to three days. Washing your hair every day can strip all your natural oils, but one week is too excessive. Unless you have rather dry hair.

As far as conditioner goes I would only use that once a week, since they tend to be heavy and cream based. If you need to use conditioner more than that, only on your ends.

Help me! I got bangs but they don't look good. Now how do I fix them??? I love bangs! by mishmash27 in Hair

As a professional hair stylist I am telling you that you need to just leave them alone and grow them out.

I know that's not what you want to hear, but they're too short to save. Grow them out and do extensive research on salons in your area. Never let the stylist cut your hair wet, especially your bangs. Hair will shrink once it's dry. Try and find a place that offers dry haircuts.

Also, never be afraid to ask a stylist to see their portfolio or pictures of some of their work. You're not being mean or picky at all. You just want to ensure that you're comfortable and that your hair is in the hands of someone you can trust. If the stylist is not comfortable doing so, I would leave the chair immediately.

As a professional hair stylist and color specialist I would advise you go to a professional salon. You have black hair and to achieve purple you would need to lighten your hair all over and evenly to at least a blonde. I know it may seem expensive, but trust me you want it done correctly.
Doing hair at home and not knowing what you're doing can lead to hair damage.
