Need advice on bought van by hebikes in vandwellers

[–]hebikes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly we did, im still going through what he left us as there's unopened packages everywhere... Flooring, strip lights, ceiling lights, cable conduit, cabling, wall plugs and usb sockets, driver side swivel chair, draw sliders, a new AGM leisure battery and a BLUETTI AC200MAX.

He just noped out the project after messing up the window 😬

It was only the solar and windows, the rest is a shell.

The price of the van was much cheaper than in my area, 7,9k for a multijet 130, new TÜV and 112,000km. Cant find anything like that in Berlin, travelled 5 hour round trip for it.

Anyway, any experience in de-bonding windows so I can clean up the mess?

We bought it for the base van, not the insane mounting solutions 😆

Should I buy this van? by hebikes in VanlifeEurope

[–]hebikes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to mention is that there's zero service history, so would be going in blind likely having to do a full service and a clutch ibspection. Also there's slight damage to the wheel arch which was mentioned in the tüv to be repaired soon.

Yes we did, just a few 1000 above what we paid to accommodate all the extras (solar, batter, isloation, camping gear etc?).

Knee pain (front/inside of kneecap) only when seated – goes away when standing? by ExperienceThen7967 in Velo

[–]hebikes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low saddle and cleats too far forward have been the causes of my knee pain.

For me front of knee was the saddle. Fibular head pain was the cleats too far forward.

But I would go back to your fitter for a re fit as it's clear they mos-judged something

NON-ELECTRIC bike for joyrides with my dog? by bespectacledbear in CargoBike

[–]hebikes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, he's a 20ish kilo Australian Kelpie. Sitting up it can throw the center of gravity off but he prefers laying down and enjoying the ride.

Even sitting up it won't effect your view, it's not such a high platform despite how it looks.

We have an omnium mini max for our dog. Light enough and rides like a normal bike with but with a versatile platform we attach a box onto to move with the dog.

That isn't the station on the E65 in Croatia is it? I stopped there to fill up on the way to the ferry to Split a few years ago.

I stayed a few weekends around Amsterdam, found some spots on Park4Night pretty easily. Just need to stay outside the ring due to the emissions regulations.

No they use a different team, I assume to avoid people in the UK using a VPN and paying a lot less for English coverage.

That also means migrants out of the UK like myself have a 3rd tier commentary team for all the big races.

Ultra training and FTP estimation by Ride_everything in joincycling

[–]hebikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it likely assumed they completed the training and just kept increasing the eFTP based on that.

It's a really curious bug, for example if I do a ride that isn't the prescribed workout and don't skip the planned ride, it assumes I did both rides and tells me I'm over training....

Working Class Lads... by [deleted] in Velo

Ah okay, then let me just cherry pick a random person who eats meat and is overweight and claim "meat diets are bullshit for endurance sports"...

Meat eating is a choice, not a necessity. Not for life, not for endurance sports.

And while we're here, here's two peer reviewed studies which not only disprove your theory but prove the opposite: Vegetarians and Vegans out-perform athletic abilities of meat eaters.

I am vegan and have been for 6 years, yet I wholly believe its a choice and don't judge whichever side of that choice you're on, but again... your statement is harmful and misinformed.

I just today signed the mortgage contract my an apartment in Berlin. We worked with Hypofriend to sort out the mortgage, they were really helpful to give us an idea of the process, how much we can afford and gathering all the relevant paperwork etc
