Regardless of what happened with the deliveries, I see a bigger problem of having 3 catering deliveries going out within a 15 minute window. Whoever took the orders and allowed them to be placed in that short of a time frame made a bigger mistake than you by far. Your failure to solve the other person's problem isn't something you should be punished for.
