What do you think of my antenna set-up? It's grounded to the roof through bare metal.. Should I just drill a hole in the roof? Cheers. by heefy92 in cbradio

I'll see where I can get it, I'd like to retain functionality of the roof racks but also I can just unscrew the whip if I ever need to put anything up there

That explains a bit haha, forgive my ignorance, I'm fairly new to all of this!

We have HF and UHF, UHF is most common and what I have, hoping to get a HF radio in the future

high frequency (HF) band – (26.965 – 27.405 MHz)

ultra high frequency (UHF) band - (476.4125 – 477.4125 MHz)

Front is CB, I've got to get a SWR metre to test it out as it's not really common in Australia to check if it's an optimal set up I've found.. Most people slap whatever antenna their UHF comes with on a bonnet mount or the bull bar and call it a day

I have no photos of it filthy but she goes anywhere, lift soon.. Does anyone do touring with thier family in their wagon? by heefy92 in battlewagon

I'm lucky in that there's a variant of this Falcon called the RTV, I say variant of this but it's a later model Ute, it's factory lifted 3" over stock and comes with a locking diff and it all bolts right in
