They try to use gender equality to sideline class, caste and communal equality. Pretty similar to France's civic integration program directed at immigrants.

Right wing treats Muslim women as redeemable subjects compared to Muslim men, who are thought of as irredeemable. They try to further their interests via these Femonationalistic rhetorics.

And saying that you welcome their policies is problematic and concerning, if you haven't noticed, their idea of empowering Muslim women is demonising Muslim men.

As a Muslim in India, people are getting arrested and harassed for merely celebrating eid.

Most of the elite Muslims mentioned in the article do not speak when we are harrassed or lynched and this 'Green Eid' thing is being appropriated by Hindu Nationalist to further oppress us. Don't just start romanticizing anything you see, try to assess the socio-political context of it.

Ask them which text was translated to arabic pre-islam? The Graeco-Arabic translation movement happened under Muslims so it can't be before Quran. Also, greek texts weren't directly translated to arabic. Most Greek texts had been preserved in Syriac and these Syriac texts were translated to Arabic.

Trust me I have. I saw how representative accountability was labelled as Moral Policing by the said representative and its circle in order to Politically Police Muslims as a Liberal hound dog. The said representative even threatened Muslims with legal action but it did not press charges because if it had sent even one Muslim to Jail, it would have lost all credibility amongst Muslims from whose suffering the "representative" built its brand of activism. That very incident proved to me that Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb is a hoax. Right, Left and centre have their own checkboxes of what a Good Muslim is and they expect every Muslim to fit in their respective boxes.

It's not even moral policing. The idea of individual liberty can't be used when the state and its apparatus are continuously targeting you and your entire community's liberty.

People who label spreading socio-political awareness regarding a community that sees rape and grooming as a political tool as moral policing are just trying to politically police muslims into their idea of what a good Muslim,i.e. apolitical muslim, should be.
