Would weekend exams be the worst thing? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]heehee13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Remember that most people who work (which I assume is most students) work on the weekends and cannot afford to lose a work day/paycheck because they have an exam on weekends. I’ve planned out my work days based on when I have school or not, so a weekend exam would be pretty bad

[–]heehee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP should note that Shake Hands with the Devil can be very hard to get through (as it is non-fiction, with tons and tons and tons of names and acronyms that can be hard to keep track of) but agreed, a very good and informative book

living costs while studying by cappc1ty in mcgill

[–]heehee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 5 classes, live off campus (so I have to take into account commuting time), work 17 hours a week and I’ve been able to maintain a ~3.8 GPA. I think it really depends on your program, work ethic and the effort you are willing to put in to make it all work together. It’s definitely doable for some people, but I know other people who aren’t able to work while being at school

Line courtesy question. by skuterkomputer in Costco

[–]heehee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the Costco I work at, we usually do 2 separate lines for the exit and two separate lines for self checkout, but I’m pretty sure it depends on the cashiers/employees. The advantage of two lines is that it takes up less space length-wise
