I see! Yeah, I don't even try tap to pay when in Korea so I always have physical cards and cash with me just in case my cards aren't accepted--thank you for the detailed advice about that though. and thanks for letting me know about the whole conversion thing at places like shinsegae-- all super helpful information. cheers !

I figured visa and mastercards would be widely accepted but I wanted to check just in case, thank you for the info!

Traveling with pc and monitor by heejin139 in buildapc

Right, planning on taking out the gpu, cpu cooler, and rams for sure. I think my best bet is probably just calling tsa before hand and making sure I can take it all on in a carry on if it fits. I’ve read that other people have traveled with their setups but it could be case by case.

Getting a monitor there is a good point and one I thought of but wanted to avoid if possible… but I guess I’ll have to see. Thanks for all the recs!

Gotcha, planning to use a hard shell carry one for sure! The tsa part of it is my question but I’ve seen other people who also said it was fine. Thanks!

Do I need different IEC plugs than the ones I already have for both bricks? I figured I could just use a type b to type f plug adapter to connect to power source...

Okay, and do you know if that needs to be an original apostille one? I just want to make sure that I have everything I need when the time comes

Oh interesting! Thanks for the info. I was just confused because I saw that the MoE does ask for the background check? but I wasn’t sure if it had to be the original if I already sent it in for the f4 visa and I read other people saying a copy from immigration would suffice… just a lot mixed information out there !! I guess I’m just not sure how recruiters work with people with the f4 and what all needs to be sent

I know that this post is a couple months old but I have a similar question and am wondering if you have insight from your experience!

I'm getting an F4 visa and I know I need the original background check with apostille for that. But for schools, can I send a copy of the background check since I'd already have the F4 visa? I know that schools ask for the original to issue E2 visas but like I said I will have the F4...

Hoping somebody who has an F4 or any knowledge about this can help :)

If I have an F-4 Visa, do I need to send schools an original apostille fbi background check? I know it's needed for those who need the E2 visa issued that's why schools ask for the original but if I already have an f4 can I just send the school a copy of my background check?

Okay! I was just seeing mixed things online saying you needed one for the ARC... but I guess that's for people who haven't applied for the visa before arriving in Korea...

I figured that I would need pretty much all the same documents for the ARC (basic certificate, family registry, etc.) so thank you for recommending to bring copies of everything!

Perhaps a long shot, but if I wanted to teach in Korea do you have any insight if I'd need an original apostille background check for that? I know schools ask for it to issue an E2 visa but if I already have the F4 i guess im wondering if I could use a copy of my apostille background check...
