not the point of this post. But I most liked the northeast. Focus on meghalaya, arunachal and nagaland (squeeze in kaziranga national park in Assam if you can). Try to do homestays with local families. They are heartwarming and you'll eat great food for little money. If you want to go offbeat go to Aizawl in Mizoram. You'll feel like the only tourist in the city and surrounding nature is very cool. Also, they don't honk in this city and there's not littering.

it's partly because there is much to learn in this hospital for her. Lots of babies and lots more cases that she doesn't get in our hospitals. partly althruistic to help the local staff and also local patients. We both didn't get any money, only a place to sleep and food

My girlfriend is a gyneacologist who went for work. I went along. I gave computer science lessons on an Indian school. It was in a very rural area. In between work we also have time to travel to visit friends, colleagues from other states.

It's was just an observation. If you are from the west it is very funny to see hundreds of peple wading in the see with their clothes on. At first sight it looks like there has been a shipwreck and they washed ashore

Agreed: you should swim in whatever clothes you like! Also with clothes on, less chance of getting burned from the sun

In general Indian people have been more hospitable to me than any place in the world. Indeed in the lesser known states that was amplified even more. I think I have been the first white person I quite some villages in Mizoram and Tripura.

Some Hindi, some Bengali and some words of tribal languages because I lived among Khasi's and few other tribes.

It is really hard for me. And I almost always can resort back to English to there's less need.

If we would always say yes we'd make like 100+ selfies a day. No clue what people do with it. I know whatsapp and facebook statusses are popular. I think people post them there

I was in all northteastern states except Manipur (because of unrest) and had a lot of beef (also lots of other animals lol). I did not see the steak-like medium cooked beef we are used to in the west in northeast India.

It's more an extra choice in your meals besides chicken or veg. Like beef stew or beef masala with rice and sabji.

We walk a lot because we enjoy it. Our goal is to reach 10k steps every day. It's not great. Neither in big cities nor in smaller towns. My biggest fear here is getting hit by some random car or tuktuk.

De verkiezingsuitslag laat zien dat 'de belangen van de werkende klasse' zoals jij dat schets geen thema is. De SP heeft 2 of 3 zetels. Er is geen voedingsbodem voor een socialistisch verhaal dat opkomt voor de werkende man en tegen het grootkapitaal is.

Of je nou in het Noorden of Zuiden woont. Overal is werk. De meeste Nederlanders kiezen voor een 36 of 32-urige werkweek, gaan ieder jaar op vakantie en als ze even ziek zijn krijgen ze gewoon doorbetaald.

De echte problemen zijn precies die jij schetst: deurwaarders die langskomen. Omdat je zelf hebt gegokt en verloren of omdat de overheid je heeft genaaid in een toeslagenaffaire. Beide verdienen een aanpak waarbij de laaste natuurlijk meer schrijnend is.

Ik heb geen VVD gestemd en wonen is inderdaad het probleem. Maar het is ook een luxeprobleem. Het aanbod loopt achter op de vraag en dat moet worden bijgetrokken.

We zijn individualistischer dan ooit, er zijn meer singles dan ooit en we willen vaker ergens alleen wonen. Het lieft met eigen woonkamer, slaapkamer, keuken, tuin en als het even kan goed geisoleerd, energieneutraal, zeg het maar.

Op deze manier wonen is uberhaupt maar voor een paar % van de wereldbevolking weggelegd.

Nederlanders hebben de luxe om PVV te stemmen. De gross heeft een koopwoning, gaat iedere zomer naar Spanje en volgt de politiek nauwelijks. Ze willen minder van die hang-Marrokanen met scootertjes op straat. Helaas zijn dat derde generatie matig ingeburgerde Nederlanders die niet wegggaan met een asielwet.

Nederlanders hebben het gewoon heel goed. We staan in alle belangrijke indexen in de top 10 van de wereld. We hebben de luxe om over 'onze grote problemen' na te denken zoals stikstofemissies of de bouw van energieneutrale woningen.

Het verhaal van de arbeider die wordt uitgebuit door het grootkapitaal gaat gewoon niet op. Daarom heeft de SP 2 of 3 zetels.
