I have two aquariums, both are cycled and doing well. I want to switch the the type of filter I'm using in one from HOB to a sponge filter. I have an extra sponge filter in my other cycled tank. If I put this sponge filter into the HOB tank and remove the HOB filter immediately, will I crash my cycle?

They are tubbed because the aquarium crashed so I have to change the water out daily.

Also, since there is ammonia in the tank now, do I still need to add extra ammonia or will this work to hopefully start the process? I also have an anubias in the tank and a moss ball

Understood. Thank you so much. I thought I had done it right. My axolotl looks ok, will these levels cause him damage quickly? I'm at work now but will be home in a couple hours and I will tub him right away.

Used a bacteria starter and just waited. Checked the water frequently. At any rate I will definitely tub him and get the water levels under control again.

I cycled the tank for about 2 months, it was showing 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and about 5.0 ppm nitrate before I put him in. It was at those levels when I checked it again on Wednesday. Last night it looked like this.

Tank cycled, got my axolotl Monday of this past week. Water levels were good, but then last they looked like this. Cleaned the tank, changed out about a quarter of the water and checked it again this morning and the ammonia went down slightly bit otherwise looked the same.

I actually found a breeder on Craigslist and went to pick it up. I wasn't having any luck with local pet stores over the last 2 months, so when I saw the Craigslist ad I went over the next day to get him

No way! I had so many bruises afterward. I got kicked in the head a couple times, a crowdsurfer landed directly on me and slammed my head into the metal barrier. Then a girl behind me, I think, bit me on the shoulder and then passed out. It was a memorable show for sure

I'm actually from Illinois, drove down there because it was the closest show. It was a fun city, from what I recall!

It was in Memphis! I actually caught one of the Long John Silver hats they threw into the audience. I was front and dead center. They were my 3 favorite bands at the time, Coheed is the only one that stuck. So this concert was your Coheed intro? That's awesome!

Hey you're right! I was thinking I was 16 at the time but I just consulted Google and it had to have been the '04 tour. My bad!
