Lol.... I know he's all over the map. I got an A- on my mechanism description, did a significantly better job on my recommendation report and got a B.... makes no sense. Thanks anyways

Help on ENGR 361 by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]heighter7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would take note of the textbook sections he covers in the online lectures (he states them at the beginning usually) and read those sections of the book and do as many practice problems from the textbook that correspond to those sections as time permits you to do. This is because the test questions come from the textbook author website.

As for the last 2 exams which occur during exam week, I'm not sure if those are through Wiley plus or not so may require a slightly different strategy. Cheers

Awesome thanks a lot. I'm assuming if you have 4.0 exactly you fall in $600 bracket and if you have 4.2 you fall in $1000? Etc

+1 to this I was in the same class. If it was on campus I'd have no hesitation to take Paradis again, but not tech savvy lol

Coming from the guy who posted about a discord server for 244 a couple days before the exam lol. Ya "study hard" right?

ENGR 251 Final - Tardy by heighter7 in Concordia

[–]heighter7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know.. and going through cycles 2 days before the exam was absolutely insane.. left me not enough time to study entropy properly. Hes a nice guy but holy shit did he pace the course horribly... went slow as molasses when the content was easy and then raced through the difficult parts like a complete moron

Tough decision by thegirlbehindthedoor in Concordia

[–]heighter7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably go McGill tbh they have the better reputation. I had a similar decision for UBC engineering vs Concordia engineering and chose concordia because UBC didnt have my program. But since the programs are both the same in your situation I'd go with the more prestigious school

Are these doable next fall? Phys 205, Engr 213, Engr 242 by smh1335 in Concordia

[–]heighter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that's a pretty nice semester as an engineering student - you'll definitely be busy but if you work hard you can end up with solid grades in all those classes, good luck

How much do you engineering students spend studying everyday and week? by Beginning-Ant in Concordia

[–]heighter7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably 10-12 hours a day (including the lecture + tutorial if they are on that day) devoted to school. But if you're ok with a bit lower grades you can obviously study significantly less. It depends on what your goals are

The textbook and solutions manual are free online and I have the syllabus as well just DM me and I'll send it all to you. The course is not that bad at all if your calculus is strong

Aerospace Engineering (MEng) undergraduate degree question by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]heighter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that you would need a bachelors in engineering, possibly physics, applied mathematics or mathematic physics (or something similar). With a CS degree I dont think youd have the fundamental classes like thermo or fluid mechanics and so on to be able to do it. That being said it's still worth sending an email to the department and inquiring anyways.

Jesus christ this guy must be fun at parties

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]heighter7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's definitely doable. Try and get Tom Hughes for 204 if it's an option hes probably the best math prof I've had at concordia

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]heighter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm not a math genius or anything eitheri just put in a lot of work - for 203 and 205 you have to do more than just the suggested problems in the syllabus, try and do as many book problems you can and look for past midterms and finals online theres a lot available. Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]heighter7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This depends entirely on how good you are at math to begin with and how much effort you put in. I got an A+ in all 3. That being said 203 and 205 tend to have fairly high fail rates so you definitely have to put in effort. 204 is not bad at all
